    His hobby is annoying Opal, but that’s not something he can get away with 24/7.

    @Thirdguy

    Watching him change channels beats watching anything I’ve seen on TV lately!

    Broaden your horizons; Watch some of the quality programs you can find on some of the better channels. There is no law that says you MUST watch reality shows.

    220 channels and I pay $$$$$$$$, but there are only about 10 that I watch… The price goes up and the # of channels goes down. I WANT MY DODGERS !!! Cant get Time Warner Cable in Nevada.

    When I bought my first TV with a remote control, I asked the checkout lady if I could drop the price by not buying the remote. ($350 for a 13" color TV), she said, “No, but trust me, you’ll like it.”
    .
    I went back for something else a few days later and she asked me how I liked the remote.
    .
    “I love it. I can turn it on or off, make the channels go up or down, turn the volume up or down or mute it altogether.”
    .
    “And how’s the picture?”
    .
    “Oh there’s no picture. I don’t have an antenna.”
    .
    That’s when she realized I was crazy.
    I didn’t mention the cable would be installed soon.
    $6/month TG&Y television
    used it for four more years and gave it away
