Good thing I don’t have a quadruped for a pet in my place where some incident like that could happen.

Do that a few more times and you couldn’t DRAG Roscoe near it.

I remember when recliners had levers that made closing easy. But I guess that’s just too much to ask for these days. Not only do you have to kick the snot out of these footrests, but they fight back!

Opal, if you don’t put the foot rest down, Earl doesn’t have to put the toilet seat down..

If you notice, I am a Maine Coon, This is actually Toby who died six years ago.
    .
I have had six MC’s and five Russian Blues, and at one time I was owner of a Yahoo Group, Maine Coon and Russian blue.
    .
My heaviest Maine Coon was a black and white cow cat named Router which mapped back to Fuzzball; the name of the first successful IP router, Fuzzball was David Mills cat, who slept on the 0 drive of the DEC LSI-11 computer used to develop the router. Router was one of the sons of Fuzzball.

It’s amazing what you can find under sofas.

Actually the first recliner to come into my house didn’t have a lever or anything, you just pushed back and then pushed down with your legs to sit up again. If things got worn it wouldn’t stay down. The next recliner had a little brass knob that locked and unlocked the mechanism. When my mother moved into my home she brought her recliner which has a handle. My brother recently bought a new one which – I kid you not – has an electric motor to take you back and then up again.

I like those electric ones. And if it’s too far away from the wall you can use batteries.
