    This is one of the very few times you’ll see Earl
    without his glasses on.

    I could try that, but I’ve lost my marbles.

    You could use the frozen marbles to keep your drinks cold without diluting them.

    That is actually a good idea! Nice one Opal. Unlike throwing cold water, which would ruin the bed & cause her more work, those would only leave a trace if not collected quickly.

    My mom would use a cold wet rag in the face to get us kids up on school days if we did not get up right away . . . my older brother was a normal target of the “I am getting a wet rag.” warning. :)

    Connie could use that idea to wake up Jeremy in Zits.

    gonna so do this, this summer, when I tell my grandsons to get out of bed and they just turn over and go back to sleep. They love that sleep in time in the summer.

    Why not let him sleep?

    Yes, he has to hurry and get up so he can sit in his chair or maybe the park bench is waiting.

    @L71Maynard

    I had the same thought—why not let him sleep? This just means he’ll wind up napping during the day. It’s not like he has to get to work and older people have difficulty sleeping anyway.
