So – imagine the pain of an ageing computer support tech, with not just one computer, but whole networks of them!

General rise in obesity began around the same time as widespread distribution of electronic games and personal computers.

Whatever the weather, as soon as I sit in front of a PC or lap top my neck becomes very cold but it’s not painful. I think I need re-booting.

Get a new prescription for computer glasses, Opal. Then perhaps you can sit up straighter.

Not so much as we used to — we sit in one spot, and remotely attach to any one of the the others that needs help. But other days, it’s a “desk job” in another sense – crawling under, over, and behind dozens of desks, checking connections or swapping PC’s.

I noticed that too, but combined with the fact that everyone has gone safety crazy, who wants to do anything if you have to spend hundreds on safety equipment that makes it too uncomfortable to do. Simple things like skating, biking, etc…used to be able to do cheap, but in 80+ temps nobody wants to put in a helmet, all safety pads and such then sweat like crazy.

Its why I see younger generation just playing consoles all day.
