My Gramma took me fishing several times at the local crick.. caught nothing but worthless sunfish, but enough to stir the heart of an excitable kid, fershure !!!

I don’t remember ever seeing Nelson smile like that before. He is such a serious child.

It’s because he has a cow-pie on his head.

UncaJim, love that you called it a “crick”. We called it the same thing.

My brother and I take our kids on a spring fishing trip every year… great times, and the worst day fishing beats the best day working!

“My father took me fishing…..I was extremely bored.”
My father took a bunch of us fishing on the Suwannee one time. I didn’t care anything about fishing, didn’t even eat fish due to not knowing how to handle the bones at the time. He paired me up with a cousin who also cared nothing about fishing.
We found a quiet spot in the shade, not considered particularly good fishing prospect, threw out out lines, pulled out our books to read.
Fish kept interrupting our reading right up until we reached the legal limit and didn’t have to put our lines back in the water. Read until too dark to see, went in with the most fish. Seemed silly.
