    They need to be ‘clappers’. So they would make a noise when we clap our hands if we can’t find them. But other noises would set that off too, so back to the drawing board.

    You just press the “locate remote” button on the remote… oh.

    Sometimes I think Earl would lose his head if it
    wasn’t fastened on.

    My TV has controls that are so impossible to see, I need the remote to do everything but turn it on/off.

    @Linux0s

    Reminds me of a Cheers episode where Woody intends to set up a VCR … using the video tape that tells him how to set up a VCR.

    I saw somewhere that a tv had a button on it labeled “find remote”. Now that makes sense to me.

    AH, I remember ‘clickers’, back in the 60’s, we had a colour Zenith TV and every time my mom would fold the ironing board, it would turn off the TV, and of course, parents being what they where back then, they kept the ‘clicker’ in a hidden location from the kids, so off mom went to retrieve it and turn the TV back on. If the TV was turned off by the ‘clicker’ it had to be turned back on with it!

    Ah, those where the days my friends…..

    My first TV remote was sonic, making a loud “CHUNG!” sound. It’s a good thing the technology moved on or else we’d all be hunting for our chungers.

    It gets worse. Sometimes you lose something, then start looking for it. Then, you can’t remember what you were looking for.
