It will take Earl about one hour to write down all

I don’t need to, the police reports and court transcripts are pretty thorough.

Apparently, Colonel Travis was so convinced he was going to be famous, he wrote his own autobiography at age 21!
(Rather arrogant, I’d say … but he was right!)

Nice to see Earl going old school with the typewriter. I still have on old IBM Selectric hidden away somewhere in my closet. Hasn’t seen the light of day in probably 15 years. :~)

The only thing I don’t miss (other than the ding sound) was having to move the carriage over at the end of each line.

I could write my memoir on one ply of toilet paper.

Writing it could keep Earl out of trouble.

Nelson won’t remember much of his grandfather before the age of 15, so a memoir might be a good idea. Nelson’s grandchildren might like to read what it was like to grow up 100 years before. I mean how would you like to read of the impression the Wright brothers or WWI had on your ancestor.

I wouldn’t bet on that, Nelson.

Note Earl said “memoir” and not “memoirs.”
