   never had a Krispy Kreme but they went out of business a couple of blocks from the local PD so I don’t know what that says

   I had a Krispy Kreme Boston Cream. It had a little circle of chocolate on top!

   I lived on donuts and coca-cola for a year two while in university. I was underweight that time, and gained weight when I started to eat normally…

   Personally I cannot stand Krispy Kreme! I grew up on the east coast and I will always prefer Dunkin’ Donuts. Or if you want to go Canadian/Northern US, Tim Hortons is pretty good. Krispy Kreme is just too greasy…blah.

   I agree, Krispy Kreme is greasy and just has a strange aftertaste. I like Dunkin Donuts but around me I go for Shipley Donuts, YUMMMM

    My brother can’t eat most pre-made cakes and donuts — not because of the gluten but because they often contain cottonseed oil, which gives him a stomach ache. Ever notice how ingredients lists say “may contain one of the following oils” and cottonseed oil is on the list. They just use whatever’s cheapest at the time of manufacture.

    Shipley for me, too. But, to be truthful, all doughnuts are greasy when they are hot. I like my Shipley barely warm with chocolate milk.
