I’ve been told I was “born old” but no one ever mentioned anything about being a grandpa.

Who knows if the story is accurate, but Churchill was being fawned over by an actress who thought her looks comely. Churchill, by contrast, never seems to have had any illusions about his appearance. She gushed about if she and Churchill had had kids, they’d have his brains and her looks.

He replied that the reverse was equally possible.
