   My sentiments exactly, Opal! Earl reminds me of a step-father I had. He would do the laundry. And sat, smoking, at the kitchen table while the clothes washed and dried. And all the while, he was ‘doing the laundry’. Not a multi-tasker.

   I’m with Earl. He’s retired, and he does whatever he needs to do. He can’t help it if Opal thinks more needs to be done than he does.

   Work doesn’t scare me, I can lie down next to and take a nap. Also, hard work never killed anyone, but why take a chance.

   This is the wonder of technology. And to think of the “luddites” (look it up) – weavers of cloth in the middle ages who would purposely destroy machines which automated the task! They forget that it made clothes a ton cheaper to where the common man or woman could wear what was once very expensive clothing.

    I’m with cedward on this ! I empty the dishwasher, and vacuum now and then. I also make the margaritas on Friday nights too !
