And Jake of “Adevnture Time” imagined literal, burning lava one episode.

No need, Nelson. I’m resting my feet on an asbestos outcrop.

If you’ve never jumped from one couch to the other to avoid the lava, you’ve never had a childhood.

    I guess I had a good childhood then. :)

Do all kids play that game? I know we did when I was Nelson’s age. Keep playing Nelson. Keep your imagination alive.

Talk about a universal game! And I love Earl’s response.

I can’t say I played that game, but I had a good childhood nonetheless. Lego gave me a way to channel my imagination.

I didn’t have lava, I had a river full of crocs. Same result.

On Father’s Day this brings back memories of my grandson when he was that age – all energy and imagination ! Yes he did the chair to sofa leaps, and also, would have me time him, as he raced through my house. And the things he could come up with for a large cardboard box…
He’ll be seventeen in August and if I reminded him of these things, he’d look at me like I had two heads, and say " Oh, Gramps! That’s so ancient history.."
