I used to laugh at Tim Conway on the Carrol Bernett show when he played an old man moving slow all hunched over…….. well now I are one!

At school long ago, I usually disdained the elevator and went up 7 flights of stairs two at a time. Coming down I used a quick rhythm like shallow rope jumping. If I tried that now … About all I can do now is admire young people doing what I once did, for the seeming sheer joy of it, like young springboks.

I’ll worry about ramps when necessary, but at 61, it’s still two steps at a time.

I know how you feel Earl. Osteo-arthritis in the knees does that to you.

I remember walking up the stairs to the top of the Washington Monument. It is a long way, but I don’t believe they allow that any longer. They are concerned about wearing down the marble steps. Now you can only take the elevator. The view is still worthwhile.
