Earl’s best friend is still living.
Was her husband a couch yam?
Yams are of the lily and grass family while sweet potatoes are of the morning glory family.
Sweet potatoes are as American as regular potatoes are.
Yams are from Africa and Asia.

Yams are also from Latin America, Oceania, New Guinea, and your grandmother’s legs. Oh, wait, those are gams.
Perhaps that’s why gams is short for “Gamma”. As in ” I wuv my Gamma.”

How do you tell the difference (by looks and/or feel) between a yam and a sweet potato?
Do I presume correctly that both are now grown in the U.S.?
Also, what’s the difference in taste?

Hey, what’s all the yam-a-ring’s about?
