    “Tithing” was originally a 10 per cent tax paid to the theocratic government of Israel before it had a king.

    Nowhere in the New Testament are Jesus’ followers commanded to pay tithes to the local church.

    Nelson could have chosen to be a High Priest since the person in that position was both the religious leader and political head of the government of Israel before Saul became the 1st King of Israel.

    The God in whom I believe actually doesn’t make people do anything.
