Isn’t “darn” where you go when you have holes in your socks?
What censorship. This is as bad as substitute teaching junior high. I had to put that bad word in quotes so it wouldn’t get bleeped over.

I believe Dilbert’s Scott Adams once answered a complaint about some mild explitive by saying “I hope Gosh doesn’t ‘darn’ me to heck for using the name of his son Jeepers Cripes.”
(It’s hard to believe this site actually bleeps “darn”.)

There must be a happy medium somewhere between the crass lingo of today and the overly done censorship of years gone by.

Wonder if Pickles ever drops by the Dyslexic Church of Dog where they preach “hell and dalmations”?

Dilbert did this joke years ago. Anyone remember Phil the ruler of Heck? His pitchspoon and round tail were… interesting, yeah that’s the word.

Yes I do remember that Dilbert strip. It may also be in one of the many Dilbert books I’ve aquired over the years. But I do recall seeing it and in full color.

Yeah, whatever became of Dilbert?
I sure the hell would like to know, “Dam” it!
Anyway, Earl, he asked WHAT heck was, not WHERE it was!
Do you need a hearing aid? Eh?

Does anyone remember which book Dr. Suess used the word euphemism as a euphemism?

Heck is where you go when you are sentenced to a place in which water impediments never fail, to wit an eternal dam nation.

When I was a Cub of 10, My younger Brother asked; “What Does SOL Mean?” My Mom and lady who was like a Mom to me were present. I Piped Up with I Know! I Know! I saw Lady who was like a Mom take a deep breath…
She was bracing for it and wondering where I was hiding when one of them said it.
She let out a Sigh of Relief when I said it means “Sorta Out of Luck”
Lady who was like a Mom said, “That’s Right!” “That’s Exacly what it Means”!
Oh How Close I was….

I remember taking a math class in college many many years ago and the professor was an older gentlemen. He got upset about something and shouted “oh fiddlesticks” He very quickly apologized, but I was amused that he thought he said something bad.

it is better to vent, than to let it build.
