Roscoe’s reaction is the same as the Bumstead’s dog.

Winter of 1971, we were in a prefab building with only a woodstove for heat and no indoor plumbing. If you had to go in the middle of the night, you bundled up and walked through the snow to the outhouse. Meanwhile, the cats had a litterbox inside, near but not too near the stove. And when it did fill up, we had to bundle up and walk through the snow to dispose of the old litter.
Remind me again how we’re the dominant species on this planet.

Not all of us humans are owned by cats.
