Inhaling a prodigious glob of Ichor of Tom should make Satori a very powerful ally on the Good Guys team versus Armageddon, along with Pibgorn, Oognat, and Drusilla, et al. As well, of course, she becomes an emergency reservoir of Lifeforce for Dru in case of need.

So I wonder which definition of ichor is most appropriate here:

1 : a thin watery, acrid or blood-tinged discharge from a wound or ulcer
2 : an ethereal fluid taking the place of blood in the veins of the ancient Greek gods

Hopefully it’s #1 and not #2. That would imply TT was a god.

Let us not overlook the bigger picture here: Satori is back and seemingly none the worse for wear. Dru will not harm her: think of it as getting a flu shot–in this case, getting a supply of mojo-rich ichor shoved down your throat. As the doctors allegedly say, “this won’t hurt a bit”!

Thorax, invisfan, being on the finer side of the quantum anomaly simply answered the question that the Auntie Ethel reader asked, which after a number of separate statements, was plainly and solely, “What do you think?” Now we know what Thorax thinks (not that it has relevance to anything in this universe…). Urquell is absolutely correct. Brooke is as batty as Thorax… and we’re all richer for it.

Oh, there’s a story line alright, but I think what happens is that Hizzoner sits in that big, comfy chair - with the obligatory cat on his lap - and plots and schemes and cackles about what would be fun to draw that night, whether or not it has anything to do with the general direction of the tale. And then he draws it. And sometimes must modify the tale i’ the telling.

That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

@Thevenbede My sincerest condolences and best wishes to your friend and her pack. Medical “zebras” are maddening, as there are simply not the answers that everyone desperately wants.

@All Thanks for your input regarding my drive problems. Tonight at my weekly financial mastermind meeting, my son gifted me with a Promise Technologies SATA 150 TX2Plus SATA/IDE controller, which may help. While I concur with UncaAlby that a new system is probably the way to go, I’m trying at this point to save the $400. Another solution is to wipe the existing box clean, format both drives, install Mandriva on it, and use my twin core HP laptop as my primary device.

I may just go that route if the additional controller doesn’t do it for me.
