    Today’s 9 Chickweed Lane

Pib: Ah-Ha! So Satori and Dru did exchange sword-wielding secrets. Does this mean Dru’s now in charge of this dream, as opposed to earlier with Nat when it seemed neither was in charge? And is this one of the few times we’ve seen TT with his mouth closed?

9CWL: In contrast, Juliette can’t seem to keep her mouth closed.

Edit: Re-pasted to see if see if the links stay active this time.

    Check out “Baby Blues”

This reminds me of when I installed “baby-proof” latches on the doors under the sink, and my son had figured out how to open the thing before I had my tools put away!

At the day-care center, there was a “baby-proof” latch on the gate to the parent side of the building, and there was always a parent who had trouble opening it, until my son went over and helped them. He had the thing down.

Am I bragging on my genius kids again? (blush!) Sorry!

BikeNBoatN, I, too, was thinking how rarely before, if ever, we’ve seen TomT with his mouth closed. He looks almost like a normal guy, maybe even evokes a tiny droplet of sympathy, the better to make us feel the impact of the katana as wielded by Drusilla….

9CWL Close your mouth, Juliette, we are not a codfish.

Pib Perfect cliffhanger. Tom has all weekend to contemplate that descending blade. I was put in mind of this:

”I now observed–with what horror it is needless to say–that its nether extremity was formed of a crescent of glittering steel, about a foot in length from horn to horn; the horns upward, and the under edge evidently as keen as that of a razor. Like a razor also, it seemed massy and heavy, tapering from the edge into a solid and broad structure above. It was appended to a weighty rod of brass, and the whole hissed as it swung through the air.”

I have never asked anyone for their E-Mail address. Even though that I believe that I can trust all of you. You never know what troll may be lurking around just looking for an excuse to make your internet experience a living hell. I know what I am talking about for it has happened to me, from someone that I thought was a friend.

Because of this person I have had to change e-mail addresses.

Anything that is done with email addresses would be strictly voluntary, and based on trust. It should probably go without saying that any Couchies under the legal age of Majority would be excluded for general purposes of safety.

I’ve had my own identity stolen, and it took me 5 years to get things cleaned up. So I’m keenly aware of the need for discretion.

This simply cannot be the End of Demons on Earth!

Somebody has gotta interfere – as I’ve said earlier, there is always going to be Evil in the World, and if Dru snuffs out Tommie next week, who is going to fill that very important role?

Maybe Lena could take over – she seems to have the temperament for it –

Ladywolf, a trick I’ve learned with internet security is to have three or four email accounts and use them for different things.

People that I know on a face to face basis I have a friends and family type email, which I almost never give out. Then I have another that I use for internet acquaintances. While most people are honest, there are always that group out there that might not be (and our Oregon law that lets ID thieves have two free passes from jail doesn’t help), so that’s what that second email is for.

The next email is one I keep for any type of business transaction or inquiry, because it tends to get a lot of junk mail (one outfit sells the email to someone else and they sell it to someone else and so on) and one can’t run the spam filters very high and still get the business-related emails one wants to receive, because of the nature of spam filters. (Unfortunately, that means a lot of deleting of junk emails for that third account). So far, I’ve had pretty good luck with doing it this way.

I’ve got a couple of other email accounts, but rarely use them for anything. If one of more secure accounts becomes spammed, I’ll move to one of them.

There are some junk email only services like Mallinator that are for those websites that have no legitimate reason for requiring a signup- the real reason they require an email is to send advertisements- but some sites are wise to that.

The Old Wolf the person that I speak of was once a close, personal family friend that my dad had welcomed in. In the end she was nothing but a thief.

My dad kicked her out for good. about a month later I started getting hate mail from her. I did some backtracking and found out that she is in Salt Lake City, probably trying to scam someone else.

    .
Perhaps Italian is the best language for talking about making love.
    .
Here! Here! Sisyphos May all the good ones make the move over here. One less site to finagle around with. The good ones? With all our different tastes, if all the good comics moved here, Brand-x would simply shut down from all the emptiness. Aside from the crappy comments set up and lack of speed, which is at times pretty good, I don’t seem to have all these troubles that folks are laminating about. I always get in without signing. Opens right up to the collection.
