THE GRIM REAPER

It was a dark and stormy night. The rain was pouring heavily down and began to flood the road. A car appears heading North, looking for shelter.

Suddenly! without warning the car loses control and goes into a ravine, and is stopped after it hits a tree. In a matter of seconds the car is engulfed in flames and blows up.

You would think that the story should end there but it doesn’t, for I see a man walking into town, and he has a nice little bloody gash on his head.

I decide to follow him, carefully keeping to the shadows so that I don’t draw his attention. I see that he walks into a bar, sits on a stool and tries to get someones attention for a drink. Nobody seems to notice him, or cares.

I decide to approach this man and sat down next to him. “Looks like you are having a rather rough night, my friend.” I say to this man trying to engage him into a conversation. The man looks at me, surprised that I was talking to him.

“What do I got to do to get a drink around here?” the man said as frustration began to build up inside of him. “Relax!” I said and continued. ” These people can be a bit arrogant and rude sometimes, but that is because they can’t see us dead people.”

The man looked at me with anger in his eyes and yelled at the top of his lungs. “I am not dead.” I smile as he settles down, content that nobody had seemed to noticed that he had yelled out loud.

“You are not going to get any drink because nobody here can see you or me for that matter. Now you shall come with me, for I have something to show you.”

Before the man can respond I grab a hold of him and whisk us away to the site of his accident. “Why have you brought me back to here?” he asks me with a puzzled look on his face. “Watch!” was all I could say at the moment.

The firefighters had finally put out the fire, and using the Jaws Of Life, pride opened the door. They reached inside and pulled out the burnt remains of a man with a bloody gash in his head.

The man then turned to look at me. “Who are you?” he asked. It was then, that I revealed my true self to him. Upon looking at me, the man began to scream. “I am the Grim Reaper, and your soul is mine.” With one touch by my hand, the mans soul vanishes.

A hideous laughter fills the cold night air as the rain begins to die down. Joseph Finch a firefighter comes up to his friend Thomas and asked, “Did you hear that, it sounded like some one laughing?” Thomas looks at his friend, shrugs his shoulders, and says “Nah! it was probably the wind.”

Somewhere lurking in the shadows the Grim Reaper smiles. “Ah! Joseph Finch you are next on my list, but it will have to wait, for now is not the time .” Along with the rain the Grim Reaper fades into the darkness waiting for his next opportunity to claim another soul.

Yep.. Pib looks a tad cranky.

Possibly it’s just the lighting effect, but Satori’s head appears to be more thrown back in the finish.

I think this one needa a flicker just to appreciate the underlying composition as compared to the beautiful execution…

No but I once tried to fix a camera and got a real nasty shock. I was stupid and had forgotten to take the batteries out.

If the camera had a built-in flash, taking the batteries out wouldn’t help - even after being fired and the batteries removed, the flash capacitor can hold 200+ volts for hours or even days.

Uhh, if Nat and Pibby are focussed on the Transformation, which has engulfed Dinah and Satori, are only Roger, Geoff, and Oognat fending off the demon-spawn? –Talk about time-synchronization issues: while time is all but stopped outside this locus of magical action, still a battle even be it suspended is in progress! And Dru is still dead…although her corpse is now more electrical display than corporeal.

Any twist in the plot that takes this long to turn the corner must be regarded as major…so we’d best study it. Nothin’ much to be seen though, ‘cept…

What has amazed me about the series, since it has gone daily, is how he is able to turn out such great color work day after day, let alone with such dimensionality as todays. He must have others working on the finished product as well.

As for the demons. They must be pretty much defenseless if they can be beaten back by a couple of guys just punching them and a litle girl with a hoe (yeah I know, she’s evil and vicious, but still a child in strength). The sword is doing the job, and so is the gun, but still, even those two could be overwhelmed by such numbers pouncing all at once. Even a machine gun can be useles against an attack of a thousand squirrels. Sheer numbers leaping on you all at once will bring you down. Yes, I know, logical thinking has no place here.

I think at this moment, even the horde is dazzeled by the light and has probably paused the attack.

Y’know what the hardest part of making the flicker pics is?

Not making the page - that’s pretty much just fill in numbers in a template now.

Not writing the commentary - i can natter on like that for hours.

No - it’s coming up with the fershlugginer smart-a$$ titles!
