OK, I’ve been through the entire archive since Lena the Horrible. Brooke has assiduously avoided showing Satori’s ears. Ever. So we don’t know if this is a recent modification or if that’s the way she is.

But for some reason, my attention is drawn elsewhere.

WARRIORS OF TWILIGHT

Chapter 11: Averlon History

They were called The Warriors Of Twilight now. Their legend would continue to grow in The Kingdom Of Averlon, and spread to other villages and kingdoms. They stayed In Averlon for a month to relax. Now it was time to go to Mesiophila. As Adelia and her friends prepared to begin their journey, Father Stevens approached them. “May I have a word with you all?” Father Stevens asked the four warriors, but especially to Adelia. “This Kingdom has a history that has been kept away from it’s people.” Father Stevens stopped for a moment. He looked at Adelia, then continued. “This History is linked to you Adelia.” Father Stevens then began his story.

Many many eons ago, two sisters came into existence. Lilith, she demon succubus whowould come to eventually worship evil. The other sister who was also a succubus she demon was Aryana. She worshiped good. Aryana and Lilith had been given a task by God himself to watch over mankind.

Lilith who was the older sister was seduced by Satan, and was brought over to the darkside. There she made love to Satan and spewed forth evil into this world. Lilith was not satisfied with just being a Queen Of Hell. She craved lust. It was her sexual appetite for men that truly started her on the path of pure evil.

Aryana on the other hand, stayed true to Gods mission. She fought off wave after wave of evil that Lilith threw at her. Both sisters clashed for days and nights. Neither could get the advantage over the other. They were stuck in a stalemate. A truce had been called and both sisters went their own separate ways.

Aryana fell in love with a man, and together they built a kingdom. The man’s name was Averlon. And so too! the kingdom became known as Averlon. The kingdom was built onthe foundation of peace, love, happiness, and respect.

Word soon got around to Lilith who was living in a dark cave at the time. She became jealous of her sister’s success and plotted for her sister’s demise. With an army of succubus and incubus warriors at her side, Lilith flew to The Averlon Kingdom and attacked.

The battle was very bloody. Averlon and his soldiers fought bravely and were getting the upper hand. That put anger into Lilith. She snuck in behind Averlon and stabbed him in the back. As Averlon fell to the ground Aryana came at her sisterwith intent on finishing the battle. Lilith have had enough, satisfied to see that her sister was no longer happy, she called a retreat and headed back to the cave. Night time came. Aryana all alone held her dead lover into her ams and wept over her loss. It was the first time that she felt the pain and sorrow of sadness. She flew into the sky towards Heaven with the dead body of Averlon in her arms. All that remained on the ground was Aryana’s armor.

Father Stevens finished up his story. “Adelia! the armor that you wear belonged to Aryana, your true mother.” It was Aryana’s blood that flowed through Adelia’s veins. Father Stevens led The Warriors Of Twilight into his chapel and took them into a back room. He took off a long sheet that was covering up something big underneath. The statue was that of Aryana, and she looked a lot like Adelia.

Since Satori is a demon, how did she get captured and locked into the program ? Oh sure.. Spitcock did it. What was the motivation to put a fellow demon through all that and then brainwash [it] to where it knows no past ?

I am almost positive that is the name of the book. It is a slim volume, and doesn’t take very much time to read.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I knew I would be a little tender, but I wasn’t really expecting this…but the colors are pretty…if you like purple, red and black with just a touch of blue! Will find out in a few days what the pathology shows.

I am trying to remember an author who wrote the book “The Egg Child”. It was about some talented kids….a girl who could make plants grow, a boy who knew what kind of material was under his feet for miles down through the earth and 3 others that I am not sure I remember what they did. I think my grandson would like to read this book. I did have it, but loaned it to someone and it wasn’t returned.

I remember a story like that, but seem to recall it as a short story in a collection or magazine. My mind says Asimov, but at this age my recollections are spotty.

Perhaps Spitcock was sent by the Dark One to return the renegade Dru’s power back into the service of the Hot Place, or perhaps he took the initiative to gain stature in the power structure. Apparently, both Satori and Nat are renegades also.

@emjrn The more I see the description, the more I’m reminded of a cartoon, “Captain Planet and the Green Team”. Each of the kids had a “power” Earth, Air, Plants, Lava, etc… may have been a spin-off of the book your looking for..

It would explain why her character was able to exist in “reality” AND why she has the staghorn succubi ears.

It actually was a more serious book. The children were trying to protect a rather large egg and they didn’t know what type of egg it was or where it came from. The father of one of the girls was killed in trying to save this egg…and I think the egg hatched out to be an angel type of being.

Ladybugs, of course, don’t eat leaves - they eat other insects. So if the ladybug is ingesting Muto Joos, then it may well be “Attack of the 50-foot Ladybug which is Chasing the 10-Foot Aphids”.

(Incidentally, it appears that the native North American ladybug (the pretty glossy orange ones) has been almost completely displaced by the Japanese ladybug (the not so pretty greeny-yellow ones). While this could be considered good in that the Japanese ladybugs eat more harmful insects than the native ones, in my opinion it is a net loss because the Japanese ones are quite willing to bite humans…

If by “autocue” you mean “TelePrompTer” {formerly ®} or the like, apparently the first such was developed in the 1950s, in order to allow Lucille Ball to do live commercials.

[A moose] wandered into our yard once while my mother was hanging out the wash - she shooed at it and just stood there dumbly until she took a sheet and flapped it at it - then it galumphed off to the neighbour’s yard.

Things like that used to happen all the time In Newfoundland. Come to think of it, that sort of thing happened in Russia, too.

Just did a quick News-Google and found: Moose hunt touted as highway safety program:

A man leading a campaign to reduce moose-vehicle accidents says he’ll dog the provincial officials until they see things his way.

Eugene Nippard, of Grand-Falls Windsor, leads a group called the Save Our People Action Committee, which is calling on the province to allow hunters to kill more moose — which he calls “landmines” on the roads.

”Someone got to do something and this committee is hopefully going to do it,” said Nippard. “If you reduce the number of moose, you are going to reduce the number of accidents.”

More than 700 moose-vehicle collisions happen in Newfoundland and Labrador every year…

Motorist says 500-pound moose ‘fell out of the sky’ on highway overpass

CLINTON, Maine - Police said a 500-pound moose fell 18 feet to its death when it apparently leaped a guardrail on an Interstate 95 overpass and landed on Hinckley Road. Officials learned of the incident when a motorist called the town office shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday and told assistant town clerk Shirley Bailey that “a moose just fell out of the sky.”

Bailey said the driver, who was under the bridge when he spotted the falling moose, was “pretty excited about it.”

Police Chief Charles Runnels said the yearling bull probably panicked because of the noise and traffic along I-95 and began running. He said it just picked the wrong spot to jump the guardrail, falling onto a road instead of landing in a field.

A passerby with a wrecker hauled away the carcass.

I’m not sure whether i’d be happy or unhappy to see the rest of what i suspected about just which female demon Spitcock made her from turn out to be true.

SMALLTOWN NEWS:
Town residents have been seen digging through their backyard trash heaps. This may be related to the rumor that a Bigtown antiques dealer will pay a visit and do appraisals.

With the Smelt run at full strength, dip nets and galvanized steel trash cans are in short supply at the local hardware store. This has also led to a shortage of bags of ice and beer at the town’s grocery store.

What is thought to be Smalltown’s oldest tree, has had a core sample taken so that the rings could be counted. It was soon discovered that the tree was hollow and the person taking the sample was driven away from the tree by an irate squirrel.

Maybe Satori was a re-programmed captive succubus! After all good old Spinky used brownies and demons as batteries - why not use a minor succubus as a character in his game? It would make programming way easier. However, she appears to have amnesia so she might very well have gotten tossed in with a dandilion demon.
