SMALLTOWN NEWS:
The local orchestra has had to cancel a performance over the weekend when their banjo player called in sick. The main reason for the cancellation was that the sick orchestra member had the keys to the van.

WARRIORS OF TWILIGHT

Chapter 9: The First Battle

“Where are they? Where are The Warriors Of Twilight?” an angry Kier shouted as he killed guard after guard, making his way to Queen Abigail. The dark warlord Kier was about to kill Queen Abigail, when a voice from behind him stopped him from delivering the fatal blow. “We are right here.” Razz said. He would not allow any more killing. Adelia used her powers to form a sword for Razz. She then handed the sword to the one she loved. Razz could feel a power stirring in his blood. A power that was given to him by Adelia when they had made love under the old oak tree. His eyes now began to glow.

Kier turned around, he saw four warriors standing side by side each with glowing eyes. The warriors of twilight knew that they were out numbered. At least that is what Adelia wanted the enemy to believe at first. Before the clashing of the swords began, Adelia let out a high pitched scream. The battlefield was about to get even. Swords clashed with fury.

Adelia with her eyes glowing bright green transformed in to her full Succubus self. Natasha transformed as well. Both Adelia and Natasha went right through the dark warlords army with their swords. Scythe was also holding his own pretty well. “You boys want to find out why my friends call me scythe.” he said and laughed. He was enjoying himself. Scythe then brought out his weapon of choice. Which of course is a scythe. “Yee haw! we’re going to have some fun now, aren’t we boys?” The warrior known as Scythe said, as he began to twirl his scythe, then he slammed it hard onto the ground causing a massive shockwave.

The night sky suddenly filled with thousands of winged creatures. The succubus had arrived. Adelia unleashed them upon the dark army. Kier was getting overwhelmed with each clash of the swords. Kier understood then, that he had no chance here. he needed to get Razz into his territory so that he could have the advantage. “Curse this God forsaken place.” Kier said as he got knocked down by Razz’s forward strike.

Kier ordered a retreat and mounted his horse. He looked at Razz with absolute hatred in his eyes. “Come to The Kingdom Of Mesiophila. We shall finish our fight on the rim of the Mesiophila Volcano. The loser is the one who falls in and dies.” Kier laughed and rode off with his men in retreat.

On that night human and succubus had stood together and fought off evil. A new era had begun.

Chapter 10: Wedding

The battle was over. People began to cheer in the streets. Adelia changed back to her normal self, right in front of The Sisterhood. “Adelia! what has become of you, and what happened to that beautiful red hair you used to have?” the eldest nun asked. Adelia turned to face the nuns. “I’m a new breed of Succubus.” Adelia said, she knew that she could not lie to the Sisterhood, nor did she want to. Razz came over to Adelia’s side. He had a few favors to ask.

The wedding was held in the Field Of Eternal Love. That was the first favor that was granted. The second favor was to allow all of the female succubus she-demons to attend. Father Stevens and the Sisterhood of nuns were dead set against it, but in the end they caved in and allowed it. The succubus after all were Adelia’s family. The wedding went well. Both Razz and Adelia said their vows and placed a ring on each others finger. Father Stevens then pronanced them husband and wife. Adelia then threw the bouquet of flowers, and Natasha caught them to the delight of Scythe.

The wedding festivities went well. It was the happiest time in Adelia life. Father Stevens turned to the nuns. “Looks like our little Adelia has grown up.” he said to the nuns that he works with. “But father, we can’t allow her to rejoin the Sisterhood because she is a demon.” the eldest nun said, and the other nuns agreed. “Blasphemy!” Father Stevens said putting shame upon the nuns for saying that. “You all should be ashamed of yourselves. First of all, Sister Adelia remains a strong member of The Convent Of The Sisterhood. Second of all, do you not remember that she is a gift from God himself. Those angel-like wings of hers are proof of that.” The nuns felt guilty, but still they spoke. “She is a succubus, and that means she will commit adultery by having sex with many men to feed her sinful desires. Then as the succubus are known to do, first she will take the mans soul after having sex with him, then she will take their seed, transform into a man and plant the seed into a young human female.” the eldest nun said, and again the other nuns agreed with her. They had remembered the tragedy that befell Sister Caroline, who committed suicide after finding out that she gave birth to a succubus infant. The succubus infant was placed on the altar and killed in the name of God.

Adelia had heard enough. “I am not like that! My sexual desires are for one man and one man only.” Adelia said as she pointed to her new husband, Razz. “If you don’t want me to be in the Sisterhood, then that’s fine, but don’t ever talk about me like that again.” Adelia said angrily and walked away from them to join Razz and her friends.

The spores are headed out…because Dru has ‘delivered’, and the mountain has ‘erupted’ (in a Plinian Eruption)…which are ‘outie’ events, not ‘innies’.

This thunderin’ horde of spores are movin’ our way, each one a little demon spawn, ready to turn into a full-grown demon, red of tooth and claw, etc..

So far mustered against this vast host (I’m being careful not to mention numbers, because we don’t want to veer off into higher mathematical discussions again) of latent lamia are:

A katana-wielding cyber-construct.
A concupscient (but underage) computer geek
His homicidally-inclined little sister…who lacks, however, her weapon of choice.

These are not good odds.

This is, in all probability, therefore: ♫ the end of the world as we know it, the end of the world as we know it…but I feel fine…♫

Terrible Tom T, on the tenth, called seed what was implanted into humans’ skulls and hatched by our Drusilla, to be liberated upon a hapless world. –They are, so he said, mistaken for minor sinus congestion. So I think that, strictly speaking, probably neither “spore” nor “virus” is a correct term for these demon-thingies, though we might use one or the other in a loose sense, just for convenience….

Sounds like some sort of malware along the lines of what we’ve been talking about, hijacking goComics. Don’t click anything on that page; it’s probably poison. Or the page may be serving drive-by attacks.

Best thing to do when you get hijacked to another page like that is to immediately close the browser, and clear its cache (which is different for each browser - in Opera you go to Tools - Preferences - Advanced - History, for instance). Make sure your anti-virus and firewall are running abd up-to-date.

Watch for odd activity from your machine in future.

Pretty sure it was ABC, but i could be wrong. Interesting bit of trivia about the “Vipers” - the design proposed for them originally was used in Glen Larson’s other SF TV series, “Buck Rogers” (which i’m pretty sure definitely was on NBC). Which also had a very pretty stargate…

Open Control panel, click on “Internet Options”, select security tab, click on restricted sites (make sure the slider is set to “HI”), click on “sites” and in the “Add this address to this zone” type in .tribalfusion.com, then hit enter. then type in *.tribalfusion.com/ and hit enter. click on “apply” and close all windows.

Or, if you’re running a firewall (which you should be) you can block it there (which i just got round to doing).

Makes sense - same family. Good for you but not necessarily something to eat to excess, one-eyed sailors to the contrary notwithstanding - like beets and rhubarb, they’re high in oxalic acid, which is a major contributor to one of the two types of kidney stones. (Beet greens, BTW, taste exactly like Super Spinach - even the sand seems grittier.)

Glen A Larson was prolific when it came to SF series. He created Automan, Manimal, Knight Rider, Six Million Dollar Man and a host of others.

One could argue the question as to whether Glen Larson (often referred to as “Glen Larsony”) ever actually created much of anything.

The most “original” thing on that list is Six Million Dollar Man - and it’s a mediocre adaptation of a Martin Caidin novel.
