Satori, before she derezzed, had a sleeveless shirt on. If that is Satori, she’s no longer in Suzerain mode, so we don’t really know who (or what) saved the Eggs.

Looks like our favorite succubus Dru (OK, sorry) the right conclusions. Also, notice in the sketch that Dru’s magical sprays look like the “snowflakes” we saw earlier, and said snowflakes (now black instead of white) are coming out of the volcano.

Now, thanks to MoonsingerFan’s excellent analysis, I’m entertaining the thought that either an airborne Nat OR Dru is saving the Eggs from joining a few rations of bacon on someone’s brunch plate.

@wilorg, Seinfeld is a comedian who had a very successful eponymous TV show in the US. One of the episodes involved, IIRC, someone’s design of a ridiculous poofy shirt that Seinfeld had to model, to much chagrin and hilarity.

The arm that’s holding Roger could be in a blouson sleeve, or it could be that that’s a shirt cuff, peeking out of a wider coat cuff.

But there is one person who’s been wearing blouson sleeves during this arc - the dashing and mustachioed Roger-in-Suzerain. Could we have a situation where there are two Rogers now?

Could it possibly be Ed, who was last seen underground as the volcano erupted (broke through?) in front of him? He was wearing a uniform with a cuffed sleeve. Note that in the last panel Roger’s sweater sleeve looks very similar to the sleeve of the hand holding him. Time will tell, I hope.

MY volcano functions very nicely - nearly constantly exhaling steaming ash into the sky, & conjuring up rain clouds almost daily, in the late afternoon. Every few months or so, there’s a pyrotechnic display of lava spewing forth from its’ cone & sliding down the mountainside - just for the locals’ entertainment.

Speaking for myself - as I am wont to do - I simply appreciate my Volcan de Fuego, as a way of “being nice to it”.

Judging by the Lena arc and what Satori was called (Gorgon) we might infer that she is indeed a magical creature like our girls. The question is what kind and what look? For young mr. Egg I can hope he has the propper reaction to this whan he sees it… Im sure Lena will, after all she might be a future Sucubus

Oh, great! Moments after I check out, the page updates! And then I don’t get back until 2 hours later when there are already more than 40 comments on which to catch up!

And (but of course) the page is baffling! Anyway, here’s my preliminary “take”: Drusilla has recovered her full potency (whether Nat blew her brains in or not; really doesn’t matter) and is omni-impetuous and in a hurry, such that Nat gets shoved aside temporarily (she isn’t hostile toward him; just doesn’t care, in her rush–in more ways than one). In panel 2, she projects her omnipotence. Panels 3, 4: Roger saves little Lena from impending fiery doom. Panel 5 (and seen in the upper-right corner of panel 3), the most problematic, someone besleeved grabs Roger to complete the rescue. A number of identifications have been already guessed, ranging from probable to incredible; I’m going with the idea that it’s Geoff, who in turn is borne aloft by a renewed Pibgorn! Yes, I think tomorrow we see our eponymous heroine again, fully revived and ready to join her buddy, Dru, in counter-volcano measures (it is erupting now, all sorts of magical Bad Stuff)!

I like it, basically, because…who else is available, besides Pibgorn, who can fly? Also, the last time we saw her she was with Geoff and Geoff was wearing a baggy-sleeved sweater.

Pibgorn was, however, also a little chilly the last time we saw her…so that makes today’s Symbolic Snack…

Champagne Slush with a Frozen Hand

(For the ‘Slush’)
INGREDIENTS:
1 pint rum
1pint kirschwasser
2 bottles (750 ml size) champagne
3 cans (6 oz. size) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
6 cans (12 oz. size) ginger ale
DIRECTIONS:
Combine rum, champagne, lemonade, ginger ale, kirschwasser in a large container and mix well. Freeze until ‘slushy’ (or freeze as long as you want and thaw to desired consistency before serving).
(serves 18)

(For the ‘Hand’)
INGREDIENTS
Green (Pibby’s color!) food coloring
Water
1 New disposable plastic glove

DIRECTIONS:
Add food color to water until you reach desired color. Fill glove with water, fastening end with a twist tie or rubber band. Hang glove from a shelf in the freezer and freeze overnight. When solidly frozen, cut glove from ice and place “hand” in the punch.

The ‘frozen hand’, BTW, is also a lot of fun at pool parties…

Wishful thinking: The hand belongs to Geoff, carried in turn by Pibgorn, and with Satori snugly secured underneath his other arm (out of frame in the last panel)
