Whoo-whee! Man, confusion to the max. What is Nat saying? Better question: What is he about to do, and why?! At least since Nat’s a demon, his gun ought to be effective against Tom, assuming Tom is also another demon.
9CWL: I suppose that confirms Seth’s choice of sexuality.

Way to break a dream. Nat has already been ‘killed’ once this arc. Maybe he is demonstratung that Dru’s fears are an illusion like all on this dreamscape
Oh, it’s so very like a visual-arts symphony, as three arcs converge toward a grand climax! It’s a good thing Honorable Master is a professional musician as well as a fine artist!
“To die, to sleep:
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there’s the rub:
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause.”
The only thing sure here can be summed up by a quote not from Shakespeare at all, but from T.S.Eliot:
No. Quite accurate phrasing. Seth chose. I’ve lived in areas with large gay and lesbian populations and things are not exactly as have been tried to be portrayed in the media and popular culture. It is a choice that most made when they were young. The reasons they made that choice are very different from person to person.
When Nat shots “Tom T” Tom becomes unnervingly similar in appearance to what drew Oognat into the dream — this is not comforting as to the outcome, particularly if Nat continues on his apparent course of action (if this is indeed Nat & not an attempt to give — and snatch away — some hope of Dru’s) …
Like Ric, in Casablanca, you appear to have been ‘misinformed’, if you went to Nantwich to view the rolling sea. It’s in Cheshire, well inland from even Chester itself (I had ‘people’ there, back in the 13th century or thereabouts).
I realize you’ve been dangling this hook for a couple of days…I have risen to the bait. What’s the punchline?
Read something really bizarre last night in an actor’s bio last night. Apparently Lloyd Bridges was offered the role of Captain Kirk by Roddenberry before Shatner was offered the role. That sure would have been diferent.
Surely you are not suggesting the media reports anything but the absolute truth!!? Good gracious, if that were so, they might even misrepresent politics, and we might elect the wrong people to office! O say it ain’t so!!!
Nat’s gat, currently, appears to be a revolver (though Honorable Master’s firearms tend to be a bit vague), and he blew six holes in Tommy-goes-poof; so, unless he’s carrying a Webley-Fosbery .38, or the like, it should be empty by now. I am, to be sure, just tossing out a straw, at which one may grasp.
EDIT: BTW, Wiki says the Webley-Fosbery appeared in The Maltese Falcon… Hmm.

Just thought of something else … if that’s the last we are gonna see of Tom T., it is a little disapointing …. something like the last book of Stephen King’s Dark tower (gunslinger) series, where Randal Flagg finally gets his … good to see him finally destroyed, but I would have expected something more spectacular.
I only count five holes in Tom. Assuming that the gun is a Smith & Wesson .38 Police Special, which it looks like at the moment (the Master’s armory does tend to shape-shift a bit, eh what?), there should be one bullet left for Nat.
And, of course, he could have reloaded between frames two and three.
Night had come to the open sea that Blackbeard and his crew of pirates, on the Queen Anne’s Revenge sailed on.
Captain Blackbeard laid asleep in his quarters. The day had been another successful attack on a merchant ship.
“Captain, ye be awake sir”? Asked a voice in the darkness. Blackbeard grabbed his pistol and lit his lantern. He got the surprise of his life, there stood in front of him was the ghost of Riff.
The pirate ghost known as Riff came closer to Captain Blackbeard. and whispered to the captain these words,
” Soon ye shall end up in Davy Jones’ locker, and thar shall join with me in hell”. Riff said and vanished.
Blackbeard furious with rage did not sleep for the rest of the night, and ended up shooting one of his crewmen as they entered to check upon him.
Morning came, and Captain Blackbeard gave the order to sail into the Charleston Harbor and set up a blockade. He captured five merchant vessels and used them as ransom to get what he wanted, which was food, supplies for the ship, and medicine.
Word of this event made it’s way to the Brittish Royal Navy. They were not happy about this and called forth a meeting to deal with this outrage.
Captain Blackbeard was pleased that his plan, his greatest plan thus far had gone smoothly.
As Blackbeard turned around, there he was again face to face with the ghost pirate known as Riff. “Soon shall it be, soon ye shall join me in Davy Jones’ locker”. Riff said once again, this time touching the captain on the arm, then vanishing in thin air.
Captain Blackbeard lifted up his sleeves and gazed at his arm. He had been given the black spot.
I only see 5 bullet holes in TT. Am I missing one somewhere? I seem to remember Nat mentioning his roscoe was a 38. I’m no gun expert, but I thought most 38’s were revolvers which are usually 6-shooters.
BTW, interesting bullet hole pattern in TT. There are 5 holes in a row, which makes sense if you swing the gun in straight line while firing. Yet panel 1 shows the last bullet going through the center hole. That means Nat shot 2 holes, skipped one, shot 2 more, then came back with the final shot in the center. Not too likely. Yes, I know, I’m being picky, as I’m sure this was done under artistic license. It wouldn’t look symmetrical if the last bullet was out on the edge somewhere. Only an engineer like me would notice, something my wife hates when I point out things like this in movies.
@mjolnir9Like Ric, in Casablanca, you appear to have been ‘misinformed’, if you went to Nantwich to view the rolling sea. I picked a town that many people might not be aware of and gave it all kinds of great and fantastical things. Of course, now you have found me out. No punchline, but building it ever bigger.
In the Sketch, there are five clear bullet-holes and a phantom sixth; one of the five is out-of-line with the others, just above the phantom (shadowy, vague, half-drawn) sixth….
Finished part one, despite bad internet signals tonight. That is why I had to post part of this story before finishing it for the night, for fear of losing internet completely.

A fantastic saga of adventure both high and low, of forbidden passion and iambic pentameter, of fays, fools, organists, demons, accordions, heaven, hell and Shakespeare, Pibgorn follows the whims and flights of its eponymous fairy heroine as she plies her conviction that there must be more to life than depositing dew drops on dandelions and sleeping under mushrooms.

On the other hand, his soliioqy doesn’t seem compatible with a (more or less) immortal demon … this could become even more complex.
