Pib: Uh oh, doesn’t look good for Dru. Hopefully she’s just playing along to make Tom think she’s “terminal”. And even laying in a heap she looks sexy. Although it’s gotta be mighty uncomfortable to have your upper torso twisted opposite your lower torso like that.

Dru is showing the same vertigo that she had at the start of this Volcanic arc! Does this mean the “Terminal Round” is actually nearing the end of the arc? Typically, the Reversal at end of the Game Show comes near an arc-ending resolution…. I think.

Dru’s been having problems since the very beginning of this arc. Today’s strip made me think of the opening sequence.

I wonder if the mind-melds themselves are the help Dru needs… she’s a succubus, after all. Perhaps she’s able to draw strength from Nat, without draining him since he’s another demon… just enough strength to withstand T-squared’s blasts.

I’d hate to think Dru is actually losing this game. I’m still holding out that she’s just faking it, the way in the Lena arc where she announced she was in love with Spinky. That was all just a ruse to throw him (and everyone else!) off course. Hopefully that’s what’s happening here as well.

Maybe if she looks completely exhausted, she can spend more time out of the game with Nat, getting his help.

Or maybe I’m just completely wrong!

I don’t think Dru is acting like she was at the beginning of the arc. I would assume her wobbliness and inability to remain on her feet could safely be attributed to the multiple lightning/plasma blasts she has received.

Part Two
A Demons Tale

I awoke, refreshed from a good night’s sleep. I helped the demon take down the camp , and after that enjoyed a fresh cup of coffee.

The morning was beautiful . There was not a cloud in the sky. We began our journey with a zephyr blowing gently from the west.

” Demon”! Said I looking at him. The demon was a tall creature with a pale tan colored skin, His mouth was full of razor sharp teeth, and his horns were a golden brown, with sharp end points. ” How is it that you know about me, yet I know absolutely nothing about you”?

The demon smiled and gave a deep laugh. ” So you want to know a little about me”. The demon said still laughing as we walked. ” Very well then, I shall tell you a tale about me”.

” I was born in the darkest abyss in the fiery pits of Hell. As I was growing up, all I wanted in life was to see the world”. The demon looked up to the sky and continued on with his story. ” By the time I became of age to join the Dark Lord’s army I had hatched out a plan to escape my purgatory. So on the night that the Dark Lord was in a meeting with his generals I made my daring escape, and made my way to the surface without being detected”. The demon looked at me, and saw that I was still interested in his tale so he continued.

” One day I came across a lovely angel, she was feeding ducks down at the pond, I had a funny feeling in my stomach, as I approached her. She saw me, but instead of being afraid of me, she only smiled and motioned me to come sit with her. We spent many days together in each others loving embrace”.

I looked at the demon, as he gazed up to the sky again. His eyes were full of sorrow as he remembered back to his youth. ” What ever happened to her “? I asked. The demon sighed and told me. ” Our love was strictly forbidden, and she was sent back to the Heavens to receive her punishment “.

The demon stopped walking long enough to wipe the tears from his eyes. ” As for me, I was banished from Hell for all eternity, forced to spend all eternity here without the angel that I fell in love with “.

By nightfall we reached the gates of Baeleron. Unfortunately, we had a slight problem. TO BE CONTINUED.

When TomT’s hubris reaches its heights, he is most primed for a beat-down of breath-taking monumentality. He’s way too full of himself in the last scene for anything positive to befall him. Dru may look very vulnerable, but she has staged comebacks from even worse conditions. Let us be of stout heart!

DreamScourge, yeah, I love that yoga pose - it fixes all kinds of back problems, and alleviates air-bubble-induced stomach aches. It’s one of my favorite ways to get my back in line.

Tom looks as if he is repairing with every appearance. I believe he is leaching Dru’s Mojo. Dru will defeat Tom that is certain. Let’s see… what would be a fate worse than existing as a game show host in the demon world? Perhaps he could be a game show contestant with 9CWL Monty as the host. I would love to see Tom’s punishment as him being turned into a cockroach, a two inch long bug with a three inch wide smile. He already does remind me of the Cheshire Cat.

I love the stagger dance Dru does on reentry. I remember doing the same dance many times in my youth after a long night of partying.

Maybe if Dru melds with Nat and can manage to transfer the extra mojo she sucked up in the Spitcock arc (that tinted her red to black) to him, then Nat may somehow be more enabled to help her. Depleted to her usual red self, maybe she wouldn’t be so helpful to regenerate Tom, or maybe she could store her red-ness in Nat, to retrieve later.
