A lovely handful Nat has, at “the bottom” of panel 2.

But - “and then she was gone”???……..Back to the Tom T. Show tomorrow, in all likelihood (unfortunately)…….

EDIT: Back to TT’s Show MONDAY. I hate(???) weekends!

Gotta admit, Dru definitely has the curves. And Nat, watch where you’re placing your left hand!

9CL: So S.Stevens has a sense of humor also.

Not only are there expansions and revisions in Nat’s dialogue with Dru, but also there is a most significant addition to his monologue! Has Drusilla been preemptorily summoned back to the Game?

“and then she was gone…” … hmmmm…. Apparently Dru has accomplished whatever she figures will be necessary to take care of things … or something. But to agree with Risitas … probably back to Tom T. next strip …

    ALL - 9CWL questions.

In the early strips there was another white cat with a black spot around one eye, and also a smaller dog, not the greyhound whassisname. I remember this cat introducing Solange to his best friend, the dog (Rupert?).

Whatever happened to them? There used to be some witty conversation between them on both the animal and the human conditions. I don’t remember an end for them. I’d like to see them again.

For that matter, I’m glad to hear Fleurrie has joined the crowd in the other pond. Mr. M,. if you are reading, more Fleurrie please….and will we ever see Sven?

Rudyard the whippet, Divot the greyhound, and Ambrose the cat.

Well – she said she didn’t have much time before she’d be called back – right?

So I guess ol’ Tom caught up with her and yanked her back into the game’s Penalty Box.

@Ladywolf17 wha- … huh? That sounds unpleasant. If it has to be so, then … then… channel it.
Take everything you feel and put it into a short story.
The writings that I’ve made under extreme emotional duress is… always amazing to read later on, (if sometimes a little painful too.)

Yeh! That’s right! What you said! Was there ever a story where Ambrose and Rudyard stepped onto the rainbow (I don’t remember one) or did they just disappear from the strip?

Another question. Didn’t Juliette briefly have a black cat after Solange moved tot he city with Edda?

Being the mom to a grown daughter, Marg might be more help than you think. An off forum discussion would be in order in the event the topic gets deep. Margueritem has had good words in dealing with misunderstandings and online chafing in these funny papers in the past.

Not a parent myself but I suspect that being a single parent of* *the opposite sex presents it’s own special dilemmas.

Actually, wolfbyte36, Margueritem, ladywolf17, I went back and skimmed through all 357 posts at yesterday’s Big Top just to see what this was all about….

First principle: wolfbyte36 is Dad, and his words are final.

That said, I do think the stuff was overblown by ladywolf17.

For what it’s worth, however, I think it is a good idea for a young lady to learn that it is definitely not a good idea to flirt with strangers on the ‘net, no matter how friendly they seem. Sad truth is, you can’t be sure! (Apologies to Mr. Spock; just making a point here).

That’s my free advice, for what free advice is worth….

Take Joe’s condolences Kalahari while he has the strength to give them. As he clearly, but not in exact words, stated near the end of last night’s posts, Joe is a nothingatarian. At the current rate of reserves consumption I don’t reckon t’ see Joe come Monday.

You have my condolences too sweetie.

What a way to start a weekend!
If this were a musical, I’d feel a song cue coming on…
    Hmmm…that’s odd. This *isn’t * a musical, but I feel a song cue coming on anyway…

    ♫ “*Some sunny day-hay baby
    When everything seems okay, baby
You’ll wake up and find out you’re alone
    Cause I’ll be gone
Gone, gone, gone really gone…*” ♫

Written and first performed by the Everly Brothers…but, truth to tell, I prefer the cover by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.

As several have already commented, it’s probable that Dru has been jerked back to the tender mercies of Tom T. and the godawful game show…but the true Friday cliffhanger is…

WHAT PARTICULAR PIECE OF SAVAGELY SATIRICAL HIDEOUS HILARITY IS GOING TO OCCUR WHEN SHE GETS THERE?

In some ways, this may be worse than the Weekend With Sweaty Betty. At least with Sweaty Betty there was no uncertainty

@darkwraith I don’t like to get too public about faith issues on this site, but, since you asked.

Evil is when you put your own wants, desires, ambitions over the needs of other people. Evil is selfish, self-centred, manipulative, greedy, vindictive, spiteful, hateful. prejudiced.

Good is when you put the needs of other people over your own wants, desires and ambitions. Good is loving, kind, servant-hearted, merciful, forgiving, encouraging, generous.
