In case you missed my last post “last night,” I was wondering out loud about the proper sequence of the panels here…. I’d be curious what you all think….
@GEE1A, Some months ago the powers that be axed the
boilerplate as a ‘commercial’ post.
Fear-ciuil and and some old couchies convinced them it
was a public service to users. I could guess they negotiated
a side door to the site to get the boilerplate posted first.

Didn’t get a gunfight…
Didn’t get a tsunami…
(W.A.S.T.E.)
But it looks like we’re about to get some action…
It’s been my experience that large, hungry-looking, lurking things with lots of teeth tend to be - or are at least closely associated with - the villian of the piece. Oognat may be tomorrow’s snack, swallowed by the Dreamtime.
Here you thought you had to get up early (or stay up late?) huh? I for one appreciate that you do it. I know it is silly, but it does remind me to click the star. Which is important to me, because I like supporting Mr McE. \O/
Oh, most monstrously malevolent. Hamlet might have called it one of the “what dreams may come…must give us pause”. Think of the interesting ramifications of being swallowed alive by sporadic random electrical memory sequences conjured up by your own, or someone else’s, mind…
I won’t discuss it in detail, because it might have a relation to the effect the Master is trying to achieve here, but back in those glorious days when science-fiction went ‘New Wave’, Norman Spinrad wrote a story on a similar theme called Carcinoma Angels that was one of the most wickedly humorous - and sincerely scary - pieces I’ve ever read.
9CWL: Since he didn’t have any luck with Diane, maybe Monty can convince Juliette that he is one of the Gods in charge of this firmament.
It really is upsetting when you appear before people in all of your glory and nobody will accept that you are their God.
Pibgorn: Cumulo Ominus on the horizion!
Panel sequence: Top Left, Top Right, Center Right, Center Left, Bottom Left, Bottom Right makes the most sense to me.
“9CWL: Since he didn’t have any luck with Diane, maybe Monty can convince Juliette that he is one of the Gods in charge of this firmament.
It really is upsetting when you appear before people in all of your glory and nobody will accept that you are their God.”
If nothing else, knowing the exact button to push with her should indicate that he is THE All-Knowing…
“Pibgorn: Cumulo Ominus on the horizion! ”
ROFL! A perfect name for the bugger!
And, of course, my reaction was “Big sucker, eh? Well, come get some. I do love a target rich environment.” }=) But then I have that swing-for-the-cheap-seats attitude. I should’ve been a super hero…

Hi everybody!
Whoa, that thingie seems a bit reminiscent of the sky aberration that initially snatched up Pibby in the LENA storyline, no?
Fresh knishes all around the Couch!
Love and knishes,
-MOE hisownself
I don’t like the looks of the impending weather here–Oggnat, haven’t you heard that sometimes you need to be careful of who can hear you?
~~~~~
9CL-Monty’s getting a sampling of reactions, for sure!
A Being of Smoke & Ash associated with the volcano? Its “teeth” could be boulders spit up by the eruption.
Oognat leaps, very like a flea–there’s a sequence in the Mozart story where she is traveling with Dru out to the swamp/lake to look for the senile demon. Also the bit where she stomps on Prince Crewth and Gaggot while in her high heels.
http://picayune.uclick.com/comics/pib/2005/pib051013.gif
I don’t think the sequence matters today–it suggests that O. is repeatedly leaping, landing and calling out for Pib and Dru while being glared at by Smokey Joe [Fumus Cumulatus].
I like the order: middle left, top left, top right, middle right, bottom left, and bottom right for continuity of action. It also forms something like a question mark (with dot at the right)
3rd straight day of sun on the farm… unbelieveable! Taking full advantage of it before the rains settle in again. Just brougth Patch the lamb in to the Vet to get a cast off his leg - we had to help Agatha, a very ancient sheep, over the rainbow bridge on Saturday. She fell last Monday, couldn’t get up, and stopped eating. It was her time. Neighbor came and put her down, and buried her in the pasture.
French toast, bacon and scrambled eggs are hot for the brunch crowd.
Okay, may be there is a “entity” behind all this. More sinister than the previous arc with the ability to wipe out the memories and identity of Pib and Dru. Why is Nat able to keep his memories intact? - or am I just totally off here.
Well, my beverage preference:
Water (filter/purified)
Tea (oolong, yerba mate, mint, black w/ orange or mango)
Coffee w/ cream (half/half) and a drop of stevia.
Wine (Shiraz, Merlot, Syrah, Cab, Zin - okay, most reds)
Soda/carbonated unflavored water w/ lemon or lime.
Occasionally will have vodka “designer” martini (chocolate, pomegranate or apple)
Rarely juice and no sodas.
@Sisyphos, my read on the order has been given before; the rule I went by is top down, and when two panels are equally high at the top point, left to right. But the question mark sequence works too…
A fantastic saga of adventure both high and low, of forbidden passion and iambic pentameter, of fays, fools, organists, demons, accordions, heaven, hell and Shakespeare, Pibgorn follows the whims and flights of its eponymous fairy heroine as she plies her conviction that there must be more to life than depositing dew drops on dandelions and sleeping under mushrooms.
Sequence of panels hardly matters here, since she’s falling thru-out, & could just grab the side of any panel to put the fall on hold.
