I asked my editor at Gocomics about the purpose of “favoriting” a strip. Her answer was this: “‘Favoriting’ allows people following you to see what comics you like. ‘Favorited’ comics also show up under your profile, and allow us to see what comics people are enjoying.” Basically, I think it provides a method for spreading the word. Hey, fear-ciuil! Those all-wet squirrels are shaking themselves dry all over me while they chatter at you! [By the way, when did you acquire the hyphen?]
Thanks, CCDesan, I’ll try everything except the Feta; it’s too salty for my taste. May 23 = 20 years of a low-salt diet for me. But there’s an Italian deli ear me that sells a lovely mild goat cheese that I can eat; there’s some headed to the sideboard now, along with Wensleydale with blueberries in it.
POLO!
Methinks this dream is being run by a third-party demon with a bone to pick. Tom Torquemada and Spitcock come to mind, but Dru and Nat have made more than a few enemies…
Well well well, now that the heat has arrived, we might get some insight as to who’s behind this dream…do you think the “murder” in question refers to the many demons that could have bought it when Dru unleashed an ironic flood of icy water into the pit of Gehenna, or the consignment of demons to said place via accordion by Geoff in the Borgia Cantus arc?
Ccdesan: What an absolutely stunning lineup of edibles. I lubs that sort of stuff. Now, at my favorite Persian eatery (locally), which is named Chatanoga (which was named after a restaurant in Teheran, which was, in turn, given a remote exotic name by its founders – they tossed a dart at a map of the US, and converted the selected city name over to Farsi. You figure it out :) ) … there’s an appetizer dish they serve that you can’t find on the menu, but if you know it exists, you can order it. I learned of it from the former co-workers (Bahram and Hamid) who introduced me to the place :)
It’s called haleem bademjan (stress on last syllable in each word, as best I can recall). It’s eggplant-based, but it’s delish (eggplant, yoghurt, mint oil, browned onions, and a few seasonings I can’t recall).
Edit: I’ve tried a sip of dugh at that same restaurant (Hamid just loved the stuff), and it’s probably the only thing on your list that I wouldn’t touch again….but, as the late Marion Zimmer Bradley often said, “If we all liked the same thing, oh what a haggis shortage there’d be!”
So. Nat is not in the hospital anymore. He’s back answering his office door. M’thinks split quantum infinitives are involved.
I wander how many Borgia Cantus characters will come wondering through this dream. It is a dream, right ..?

I’m having a lot of fun with this episode! The comic effect of scrolling down the image and having Nat revealed as covered in lipstick had me incapacitated. The final ‘flag’ at the bottom is the icing. Thank you, Brooke!
Adrienne, a provincial taverna I used to frequent in Greece had an eggplant-based specialty that they called melitzanes [eggplants] Imam baldi [accent on last sylllable]–“the Imam fainted” (i.e., from delight). Seems similar to what you described. –Included eggplant, onions, tomatoes, maybe garlic(?), and I know not what else….
Another carefully crafted and cunningly detailed cover story.
Looks like the cops might have found him by following the seismic disturbance trail. Actually, something like that happened to me in about 1994. I’m close to getting over it; maybe another six or eight years.
RisitasPro says: The lipsticked shirttail protruding through his fly is a nice touch.
(squints eyes) Well! I guess that IS a white shirttail. My natural inclination and poor eyesight told my twittering mind that was a rip in his pants and I was seeing a hint of skin smeared with even more kisses.
Based on the lipstick on the shirt tail, it appears that Dru has been examining for broken bones again.
I might try the dugh, thanks… just to say that I have eaten it. My tastes this morning lean more toward SOS and eggs over easy (Soldier comfort food).
Wasn’t Dinah Cloverly wanted for murder in the Borgia Cantus? If not wanted for murder, she had killed Harry Inchman …
It’s like both Nat and Dru are back in the Borgia, or, maybe a crude copy of it.
Elsewhere, Pib is wrapped in a whodunnit of her own – who iced Geoff, was it Tom T. with a plasma bolt, The Watcher with a spell, Spinky revived, using a vampiric stare?
A fantastic saga of adventure both high and low, of forbidden passion and iambic pentameter, of fays, fools, organists, demons, accordions, heaven, hell and Shakespeare, Pibgorn follows the whims and flights of its eponymous fairy heroine as she plies her conviction that there must be more to life than depositing dew drops on dandelions and sleeping under mushrooms.
