If you would like to ‘favorite’ the strip, (and maybe the sketch, too), simply log in and click on the ‘Favorite’ star directly above the strip. Mr. McEldowney very kindly asked for us what purpose is served by favoriting, and this was the answer:
I asked my editor at Gocomics about the purpose of “favoriting” a strip. Her answer was this: “‘Favoriting’ allows people following you to see what comics you like. ‘Favorited’ comics also show up under your profile, and allow us to see what comics people are enjoying.”
Basically, I think it provides a method for spreading the word.

What do we estimate the length of that tongue to be? 5’ at least.

  3. Sisyphos

    Sisyphos said, 6 months ago

Well, it is a demonic tongue: wonder if it has a life of its own?
Then again, Drusilla tends to have that effect, even on mere human men!

    EDIT: witness ccdesan :-)

I’ve clicked that “Favorite” star 100 times, but I can’t get it to do anything besides turn gold. Maybe if I click it a thousand more times…

That tongue reminds me of Juliette’s response while spying on Sven…

There was a video on FoxNews yesterday of B-52s practicing rapid takeoffs in North Dakota, ccdesan; and it looked as though nose-art is a thing of the past (I know on stealthy aircraft it is a no-no, while I recall that on SR-71s the mission flags at the edge of the cockpit had to be changed to generic dots for security reasons–USAF didn’t want people seeing where they had been flying….).

I like the slow sensual slide of the white negligee down Dru’s … form.
    .
I sort of wish Brooke had essentially sliced one pose up into segments on the left-hand side, but i can understand, i think, why he did it the way he did.

Are Amos’s shoes six-inchers? He’d only need four-inchers to retain parity with Edda in six-inchers, i’d think.

Oh, today i attended a memorial service for fantasy writer Tom Deitz (who died last Monday) at Gainesville [GA] State University, where he taught. Didn’t know Tom well, but we had several musutal friends.
    .
We finished with a group sing of “I’ll Fly Away”, and released fifty-seven balloons (one for each of his years) with tags showing his SCA armorial bearings on their strings at the end of the song.
    .
(I found out about his death and the memorial at 2AM when i checked the Gainesville Times oheadlines on-line…)

I note the tag “Dru transforms from white dress” (BTW, so long as there are no apostrophes in your tag. enclosing it in quotes will keep it from breaking up).
    .
No - “Dru takes off white nightie and transforms.”
    .
Note the shoulder strap hanging free by her right hip in panel 2, and just below her knee in Panel 3 as the nightie slips slowly to the floor.
    .
I note that Dru has not (yet, anyway) shifted back to her former look.
    .
Good. I can still imagine “Black hair and red leather, my favourite colour scheme…”

    Fairportfan said, 6 months ago

Oh - and about Amos needing practice with heels - if you ever watch Rocky Horror again, keep a close eye on Barry Bostwick in the “floor show” sequence - he looks as if he’s barely able to stand up, but the sort of things he’s doing are a lot trickier than the others - and i include Sarandon and Nell - are doing.
    .
(That is, of course, keep an eye on him if you’re not too busy waiting for Nell to bounce out of her top at one point…)

Nope - the “floor show” at the end of the film, with Brad, Rocky and Dr Scott all in drag. It’s during the song “Rose Tint My World” - YouTube doesn’t seem to have a video of that part of the film…

Foor the early risers: Fresh Geen mountain House Blend coffee, and warm raisin/oat bran muffins with Home Made Apple Butter!! THer’s also a bag of peanuts for the Squirrels. (The six that live in my oak tree are just waking up, and that’s their idea of a morning eye-opener.)

    Couple of new comics:
    .
Estancia {http://tinyurl.com/jmneu} is a Korean manwha translated into English and formatted for reading onscreen. It’s complete, so you may get through it in one sitting.
    .
Marilith {http://www.marilith.com} is apparently a continuation of an earlier series {http://www.krakowstudios.com/krakow20/archive.php?date=20080121}, but i glanced at that one first and i wasn’t real impressed (the art is pretty lame and the earl;y ones go in for really dumb “clever” humour); you can begin with Marilith fairly easily - all you need to know is that Marilith is a contract killer who decided to make one big score and retire, so she kidnapped Kimiko, the thirteen-year-old heir to the Hello Kitty fortune. (This was, apparently, in the previous strip, which, as i look at more of it, should be actively avoided.) Kimiko refused to go home, and is now Marilith’s assistant/trainee.
    .
    Go.
    Read.

Indeed, I like your thinking. But my guess is, that right-hand panel wouldn’t require a bomber to do some serious damage. At least in some parts of the world. Taliban, anyone? ;)

Word of warning: Using the words “fingertips” and “touch” together in such a context can do serious things with the heart rate of some of the readers in here ;)

“Then she runs her fingertips through your hair
    Your life has just begun
    Her fingers, they are everywhere
You’re floating light like air, leaving the ground
and she shines on just like the sun”

FLY GUY: Sorry this is so late. Been riding. The EBA pizza joint referred to was Lyla’s. After all the great examples over the weekend, my appetite was set for some good ‘za. Made the call; got a “No longer in service”. Called my daughter as she lives in that neighborhood, and was told they were closed. It was on 13th street about a half mile south of Layton.
There are several others great places here in the city tho, so a decent pie is still easily had. Pizza Man, Zaffiro’s, Lisa’s etc, etc.
Last thoughts…. Noting all the references to Italy; Isn’t pizza of American origin?

OK, there’s a problem with panel one. Diana/Dru has hold of the panel frame and it’s neither melting nor becoming turgid.
Remind me why this is supposed to wake Nat from his dream. This is where I’d be screaming something about never waking up.
Adrienne Gormley says: BTW, in the new Girl Genius, I love Agatha’s epiphany.
