If you would like to ‘favorite’ the strip, (and maybe the sketch, too), simply log in and click on the ‘Favorite’ star directly above the strip. Mr. McEldowney very kindly asked for us what purpose is served by favoriting, and this was the answer:
I asked my editor at Gocomics about the purpose of “favoriting” a strip. Her answer was this: “‘Favoriting’ allows people following you to see what comics you like. ‘Favorited’ comics also show up under your profile, and allow us to see what comics people are enjoying.”
Basically, I think it provides a method for spreading the word.

Actually, this entire situation opens up quite the can of worms…whose dream is it anyways? If we go back to when Nat descended into the volcano, Dru was indeed minding her own business spewing lava all over the upper east side…so Nat is justified in thinking _he_ is the seducer…
And just how does the flowery pheromone trail fit into the situation?
Ugh! I’m totally on the couch tonight. but there’s Kona coffee for those staying up to contemplate things as well as a flourless chocolate gateau…get to it before I do, I can totally down a whole one myself…

Sorry this is so long; is there somewhere I can send an image for people to look at?
I would suggest using BoxNet (http://www.box.net). It is free, seems to work quite reliably,
offers 1 GB of online storage, multiple public & private folders, easy uploads and updates,
has a simple user interface, no SPAM or nagware and only asks for an email adddress to
register. You can allow public or private access to single files and/or to entire folders.
Remember, this is an online storage site NOT a web page server. Although you use a
browser to access the file or folder, the boxnet link tells the browser to download and
save the file, not to render it for display. The simplest way to view an image (or other type
of file), would be to download and save it your desktop. Then just double click the desktop
icon at any time to view it. The OS should locate the correct viewer by looking at the filetype.

Nat doesn’t have the magenta staghorn ears, either, but this is mainly because the Nat Bustard body he inhabits is the character from the book “The Borgia Cantus” that he pulled with himself out of the book. I don’t think we’ve ever seen Nat’s true demon form, to tell you the truth, and I reread Borgia Cantus recently.

OKay … exhaling steam while inside a volcano. The boy’s hot. With a view like panel #5, ohboy! No wonder he’s a bit overheated & flustered. And, I think the sketch #5 is even a bit hotter.
NOT to detract from a sizzlin’ silhouette of Dru in #1. Damned fog’s so thick around here can’t hardly see the minotaur in front of my face …

A place to discuss the OTC Coat of Arms
Post your suggestions. Images, crests, devices, mottoes, you name it. We can keep all the ideas in one place and see if we can come to a consensus.
Then we’ll see what can be done about finding “an artist” to finalize it for us. ahem

I have nothing against the people over at Big Top. If enough of us have outgrown the Pibgorn comments forum and want to post somewhere else, that’s fine. No slight was intended, just look on it as an opportunity to liven things up.
I do believe, however, that the artist, or the strip, should play an important part of the reason that we are drawn to post there and not just a place to party.
Story Teller said, 6 months ago
DrystyhaPro says: “HONEST TO PETE, can’t we all just have some fun here for chr** sake? Why are you two gettin’ your knickers in a twist?”
Truth be told, I am probably more responsible for anyones knickers getting twisted…which is not as perverted as it sounds. I have more than once decried the posting of pointless and empty messages to attempt to pad the number of comments. To me it is disingenuous to the strip and to the genius that is Brooke McEldowney. If a particular strip inspires 200 real comments about it, that is more impressive top me than 500 comments that are nothing but word tag. But that’s just me, what do I know? As far as I know nobody ever said that comments have to be about the strip, just that they not be too objectionable. So, let the squirrels play musical instruments and everyone belly up to the bar, baked cod and cheddar on sourdough sandwiches on the sideboard and I’ll pour everyone a wee dram of chill, myself first of all.
(Oh, you will have to add your own dressing to those sandwiches. I prefer ranch, myself, but sweet and dill relish and the traditional tartar sauce are also available. And not a single word about today’s bloody strip anywhere in this nonsense.”)
Hmm, why are the squirrels playing “Nearer My God to Thee”…?

No, it’s not today’s Pibgorn.

In fact, except for the background image, it has nothing to do with Pibgorn.

It’s some images from the DVD package for an anime series called Agent Aika.

I thought the members of the OTC might appreciate it, especially coupled with the IMDB user comment i’ve included.

Nat: FAIL!
Sisyphos said, 6 months ago
txmystic made a good point earlier that is in danger of being overlooked: whose dream is it, anyway? Nat insists it is his–but fails to end it. Drusilla assumes it is hers; but she is the one who crash-landed and was unconscious while Dr. Christ Complex and crew poked and prodded their way to volcanism. Is there an ominous Third Party involved?

And I haven’t left here, unless you’ve booted me out! I just don’t always comment. I find the art work here absolutley amazing! This challenge, which you started, was meant to be fun, not vindictive.

Here:(I don’t know how to do one of those tiny url pic thingies!)
http://www.gocomics.com/pibgorn/2009/04/17
After Bustard locates Dru in the volcano, he connects with her, she appears to awake and flip him…we all know what happens when Dru flips a man.
Meanwhile, it is my estimation that it’s Bustard’s dream. She always becomes the man’s most secret desire. In this case, Dinah Cloverly.
Question: Does this mean that our Dru is now awake?

OMG! Nat is exhaling in his steam/smoke [?], not a smoke ring, but a tiny heart!
Bosn_C_Otter over at Brand X objects to the “honey covered, Carmel filled” nature of Amos & Edda’s research. Was Mr. McEl was feeling sentimental today–or do I sense some ironic reserve? Yep, tastes of irony; smoke hearts are soooo noir.

If this isn’t Dru’s dream…
…is it Nat’s? If so, when did it start? Was Pibgorn’s entrance to his office a part of the dream? Did it start when he woke up Dru? With all that was going on around her, why did it take Nat to wake her up?

bmonk, my deepest condolences. I lost my husband 4 years ago and was lucky enough that our last words to each other were the same as your parents. Thank you for sharing your story with us. It is in remembering and sharing that they live on in us.

Nat – can he do that? The only other demon who invaded Dru’s dream was Spinky, and he had her in a virtual world of his own creating.
Dru doesn’t dream, she’s always said, and she may be lying. Either way, what kind of demon is he, that he can induce Dru to dream?
This could be interesting. It might turn out that the only way to rescue Dru is for Nat to drop his Bogart persona and resume his normal demon form.
