If you would like to ‘favorite’ the strip, (and maybe the sketch, too), simply log in and click on the ‘Favorite’ star directly above the strip. Mr. McEldowney very kindly asked for us what purpose is served by favoriting, and this was the answer:
I asked my editor at Gocomics about the purpose of “favoriting” a strip. Her answer was this: “‘Favoriting’ allows people following you to see what comics you like. ‘Favorited’ comics also show up under your profile, and allow us to see what comics people are enjoying.”
Basically, I think it provides a method for spreading the word.

Hilarious hijinks once again. Pib was definitely sharing Dru’s mind.

    I like Nat’s tie im Panel 1 … and Panel 3.

EDIT: … and i like Pib’s hair short that way.

While Pib’s long wavy/curly/beautifully unkempt hair has always been nice to look at, ahving it shor this wat adds another distinction between Pib and Dru.

Which may be necessary as Pib seems to be acting more like Dru…

A cynical pastime, to be sure: the plot advances infinitesimally, while the audience enjoys its popcorn [crossover reference]. I think a comic any more explicit would not be on a PG13-or-better website!
The humor is heavy and hot, what is called “adult,” though the term always amuses me. I think this is great fun, though perhaps some would blush! Pibby certainly has learned pretty much all about Dru’s business, it seems.

Nat’s tie, dangling limp over the frame between panel #1 & #3 … snort

Didn’t just hang there all limp and looking pretty for very long.

And, I have to agree … it does seem that Pib is acting much more like Dru this week. I was sorta holding my opinion before, imagining that Pib was just role-playing (in extreme). Her commentary in panel #1 is quite un-Pib. Her look in panel #3 is the only one so far that looks like Pib. More or less everything else so far she has had a look on her face with Dru’s eye. And there’s been so much more of Pib …

@fearciuil If using the phone nearly gives you a panic attack, why not drop him a card or letter? The directory listing gives his home address. As I said, I’m sure he’d be interesting in knowing what one of his former student teachers is up to these days.

I commented yesterday about my problems bringing up Pibgorn and the sketch. Go figure - tonight I have no problems with that at all…

To those who didn’t catch the beginning, this survey is a list of questions
that wildflowerose put together for this community to get an idea of where
and who we are: interesting tidbits such as age range, locations, favorite
strips, books, movies, food, training, etc. Anyone who has not yet sent a
completed survey to her is encouraged to download a blank one and do so.

A Reminder: OTC Survey due this Wednesday

For anyone one wants to participate and hasn’t already completed the OTC
survey, this is your last opportunity. Wildflowerose has set a deadline
of this Wed, April 1 for them to be returned to her. You can download the
survey questionnaire directly from the URLs below. Her email address is
embedded in the XLS files and the plain text file. If you use the Open Office
file, download the plain text file as well to get her address.

Before you return the completed survey, change the file name by appending
your screen name to it. It will make her job a bit easier. Remember she
has graciously volunteered to do this so please help her as much as you can.
Put PIBGORN in the subject line so she can easily spot it as NOT SPAM.

fairportfan, I don’t read La Cucaracha at all, and only now and then …Queen Victoria, but I checked out the links: Krazy Kat in place of QueenV seems clearly an April Fool’s gag; as for the other, I don’t recognize the comic, but it does carry the trademark of Lalo Alcaraz, who is the author of La Cucaracha….

For half a second, in panel 3, I thought she was going into the Pib we know mode, but then I caught a glimpse of the shoe flying up in the last panel and all confusion was gone.

Yep, there is very possibly something wrong, but I am totally seduced into ignoring it.

All the other links gave me “403 Forbidden”, and now everything on that particular site is “404”. It’s either under construction, or just barely got deleted, or something.”

@StoryTeller: That was macaronics, pure and simple. De gustibus non disputandum est is the standard Latin, and I ran it through my Nonsensificator 3000™. Using the Perfect Subjunctive, what comes out is “The blunderbuss has not been discussed.” Sheer silliness for April 1…

“In 1992, only weeks before Fairport Convention’s annual Cropredy Festival (the second and, so far, last i attended), Fairort’s fiddler, Ric Sanders, put his hand through a plate-glass window {http://electronictiger.net/cropredy/ric.htm}. Multi-instrumentalist Chris Leslie filled in on incredibly short notice (luckily, Chris had fiddled with Fairport fror a whie in the latter ’70s after Dave Swarbrick left the band, so he already basically knew a lot of the repertoire).[…]I can (barely) imagine what a terror of hand injuries musicians must feel.”

My first husband was a blues guitarist. Apparently the terror didn’t affect him, but I was horrified when, some little while after we (amicably) split up, he took off to the wide open spaces to be a cowboy - especially the part where he rode rodeo. Never did smash up his hands, though. Whew. He moved to a different city and took up his axe again and 30 yrs later is still at it:
