To continue from earlier: There are a staggering 1.5 million seamounts in the Pacific, with a rough total of 2.5 in the world. That doesn’t count the total number of vents as a seamount is 1000m+ high. It’s estimated that at least a third of them are active at any given time, which was mind-blowing when I found that out. From what we’ve found with the 10% we’ve mapped in minute detail, I think we’ll find even stranger stuff down there. (No, I don’t have a degree in oceanography to go with my geology degree, but all would-be geologists have to study a lot of oceanic geo- more than 71% of our crust is oceanic. It helped in northern cal and southern Ore, too, as the local greenstone, greenschist, serpentite, amphibolites, ophiolites, metagabbro, and accreted terranes all were related to oceanic orogenies.)

Since you are a “Pro”, you can go back to the beginning when I started posting on this comments site(09/26/2008). After I posted the third Joe Minotaur story, I posted a comment that I would like to ask Brooke for his permission to continue. He then posted a comment and answered an email I sent him. He said that the comments section was for the fans to do with as they wished. I have written fan fiction in the past, but never published any of it. I do maintain a respect for the original artist/author’s characters and do not interfere with the main story line.
With the encouragement of the other commenters, I decided to add numbers to the titles to make it easier for those collecting them to keep track. Other stories followed, but it reached a point that I needed to establish a blog and post my stories there.
I do enjoy writing short and funny stories, but I’m hoping to expand into more serious fiction with my own characters and plotlines.
Brooke has been very kind in allowing me to use his characters in my stories, song rewrites and jokes. I hope that I have added more to this comic site than I have taken away. And I have taken away alot!
This series needs a detective just to keep the many loose threads from getting impossibly tangled!
I hope this answers your questions and Maeverin’s too.
Nabuquduriuzhur Your comment about ocean vents had me thinking again of a friend’s idea/invention. He has come up with a way to harness the energy of ocean vents. It’s very interesting. He explains it well at www.marshallsystem.com.
Hey, Folks; I’ve been in lurk mode for a day or two. The satellite link out here on the briny blue can be a bit tempermental which can put a real damper on my Pib time. Hope everyone had a good St Pat’s. I hope no one got too green around the gills from too much Guiness.
We need to make it a rule that there will be no drownings in the hot tub. I mean really, who’s going to clean up the mess?
Loved the mental image therapy about the clear spring and clear water. Priceless.
I was going to to venture a theory about our favorite succubus. When the sky changes colors, she decides to take a swan dive and when the sky goes back to normal, she’s fine. I was also going to further guess that the colors were changing somewhere out in the ocean where Dru and Pib were at and that Dru did punch open a gateway to hell and who or whatever is down there is beginning to make his presence known.
I have to side with those that are in the leave the loose ends loose as far as the ‘Lena the Horrible’ arc are concerned. The nice thing about loose ends of a story is that much like loose ends of a rope, they can be spliced in to another rope/story as it suits the weaver. Mr. McE, My prayers are with you and if you can put out 5 a week, more power to you. But if 3 a week is more comfortable, I can remain comfortably confused right here either on the couch or behind it scarfing down delicious munchables and take my shots at guessing with the others.
She’s in physical pain. Yesterday I liked the speculation that maybe she was fighting an invisible foe, but that doesn’t seem likely now. The pain (only discomfort?) could be physical in origin, or Dru is in serious mental conflict. She is throwing herself off of the building (not tripping or being thrown) … for what reason?
Oh. Excellent. We have a comfy confusionite couch handy (brings in a large pot of wild herbs tea, hand-picked from the countryside last summer, and a honey pot filled with raw honey from last summer. Some nice tea biscuits and wild black current jam to go with that.).
In panel #7, the expression on her face is interesting. Relaxed. Unconscious? At peace with some decision? Ecstasy?
My first thought today, with her clutching at her stomach, was “Oh. Demonic morning sickness. As if there’s any other type.” Oh my … is she carrying Spitcock’s child ..? =8-\
MARGUERITE, so so true about the yo-yo, I love your analogy.
Did you hear that the inventor of the Duncan® Yo-yo recently died?
At his funeral, they lowered him into the ground 27 times.
(Sorry)

A fantastic saga of adventure both high and low, of forbidden passion and iambic pentameter, of fays, fools, organists, demons, accordions, heaven, hell and Shakespeare, Pibgorn follows the whims and flights of its eponymous fairy heroine as she plies her conviction that there must be more to life than depositing dew drops on dandelions and sleeping under mushrooms.
