    If you would like to ‘favorite’ the strip, (and maybe the sketch, too), simply log in and click on the ‘Favorite’ star directly above the strip. Mr. McEldowney very kindly asked for us what purpose is served by favoriting, and this was the answer:
    I asked my editor at Gocomics about the purpose of “favoriting” a strip. Her answer was this: “‘Favoriting’ allows people following you to see what comics you like. ‘Favorited’ comics also show up under your profile, and allow us to see what comics people are enjoying.”
    Basically, I think it provides a method for spreading the word.

    So… If Dru and Geoff are going to be back together, who’ll Pib connect with? Certainly not Roger. Is this the next arc?? Matchmaking for Pib?

  12. Sisyphos

    Sisyphos said, 8 months ago

    I think that Geoff does not intend by this very friendly kiss to signify that he is forsaking Pib (nor that he believes she has forsworn him), but how Dru might take it is less safely guessed. Remember, Drusilla, in human guise, was his girlfriend for an unspecified time at the very beginning of Pibgorn.

  13. emjrn

    emjrn said, 8 months ago

    Perfect!

    I don’t really feel sorry for Pib…she said that she didn’t have the depth of emotion for him that Dru has. I doubt that Geoff and Dru getting together will even upset Pib. They are 2 people (sort of) that she loves a great deal and will continue to love no matter who Geoff chooses.

    Made it home safe and sound, just barely in front of the storm that would have clobbered me over Truckee. It was snowing hard the last 25 miles, but got in without incident. What a trip… so nice to see Skulker, Wildflowerose and Farren, in addition to all the other wonderful things I did. It’s good to be back.

    Pib: Omnis me confundit, I’m just along for the ride. But today’s strip is sweet…

    For the couch, I’ve brought some fresh durian fruit if anyone is brave enough to try it. I scored some at the most amazing Oriental Market in Las Vegas, and my car smelled like the Bog of Eternal Stench all the way to Salt Lake. After about 4 hours my nose stopped registering it altogether. What does it smell like? The closest I can come is the stuff that you scrape out of a pumpkin at Hallowe’en, with sort of a necrotic meaty overtone. Tomorrow I’m actualy going to try some, and see if it’s as good as they say.

    I thoroughly enjoyed the self-deprication that the Master slaps himself with at the end of “A Pibsummer Night’s Dream”. Absolutely hilarious. Wow, I’ve been typing in URL’s on picayune since Monday, and have deprived myself of sleep to finish up in this moment. This stuff is meant to be digested one page at a time. After seeing all those seduction scenes, in varying degrees of realness, I think my moral compass just fried. I’ll need to perform some penititance and many Hail Marys for this to blow over. And why is that raven-haired woman in front of me taking so long in the confession box? Now that I mention it, I never noticed there being an “ocupado” sign there before. Since when did confession become this involved?

    Hello, All;

    I’ve been in absent mode for the last few days. My brother was hit and killed by an SUV over the last weekend. I’m still trying to get my head around it. What makes matters worse, is the fact that I’m not going to be able to make it home for the funeral services. My job is out here in the middle of the Pacific and this ship doesn’t have the facilities to Helo me off. I feel like I can tell you all this since I know that ‘The Couch’ has always been real good about taking care of one of its’ own. I’m better tonight than what I have been since getting the news Saturday. Those that are so inclined, please say a prayer that the pain will fade eventually.

    THAT’ll stoke the (he||)fires up a bit!

    Not worried about Pib; she’s a free spirit and can hardly grasp what jealousy is. There will be some arrangement between all three & it shouldn’t be too difficult. Pib knows the innermost Dru (and it seems vice versa?). I will speculate that Pib loves Dru with a similar intensity that she loves Geoff, and I also suspect that Dru does love Pib, perhaps nearly as much as Dru loves Geoff.

    Recall the look on Pib’s face when she was talking about it this week. It was shocked awakening on many levels; she has felt Dru’s love, experienced it as if it was her own.

    Dru discovers that she has a soul to worry about now. What an interesting turn. Her Master will not let her go so easily. A dozen fascinating speculations come to mind along those lines for what is in store for our intrepid trio in the future …

    But, for the now, Geoff, you hold that girl, kiss her and keep her. Keep her well. She needs you.

    That completely sucks. A very dear friend of mine, who was like a brother to me for nearly 30 years, just died without warning before Christmas. Woke up feeling ill one morning, drove himself to the hospital in the evening and … was just gone a few hours later. I couldn’t travel home, either.

    I can’t think of anything to say that will make you feel better. Nothing will, really. But, I know very much what you’re going through. You have my most sincere sympathies.

    When you think of him, recall the good times and the laughter. Remember him that way. It is the best way to honor our friends and family.

    Re this strip, I suspect Brooke (long noted for his incredible open-mindedness) is going to leave these three as a ‘share and share alike’ relationship, i.e. Geoff gets both chicks. Because, as said, we’re not getting rid of the eponymous heroine, and Dru is too popular to dump either.

    Squire -
    Keeping you and your family in my prayers. Losing someone is one of the hardest things we go through. I’ve lost my mom and grandma in the past 3 years and even though I’m old enough to supposedly be grown up about it, I’m still not dealing with everything I should. Pictures and memories help.

    One thought – you can’t be there, but maybe you can be there through words or pictures. Perhaps you can send a message to be read or a favorite picture to be your connection to him at the service.

    Hope you are able to join your family soon.

    I was asked to do the eulogies for my grandparents for whom I had been a caretaker the last months of their lives. It was probably the hardest thing I’d ever done, but in a way I had to do it.
