Oh my! Hard to tell if she’s showing Pib the answer, sharing the power or shorting out her nervous system. Regardless, it doesn’t look like anything nice.
Dru may not need to be drained (although to do so would require us to check in w/Roger and Lena), I’m going to venture that she will need to learn to transmute the icky Inky energy so it does not compel her to do what she’s doing to Pibby. We already know that even with the excess mojo she’s still willing to take a quiver of hellishly-poisoned arrows for Pib…

Sun-dried tomatoes…………fresh crushed basil…………mmmmmmmm……..makes cowering under the couch a little more bearable.
There is a time to to ask questions in a familiar tone of voice that may have a hint of sarcasm to it. In this particular circumstance I’d say a good two time zones distance would be just about right.
Dru’s losing herself to this super-duper amped up batch of mojo she acquired from Spinky. Roger and Lena need to put in one last appearance with the hoe to ground out Dru’s excess mojo. Mind you, I rather like the new paint scheme and the little sheen of what I’m guessing is either power or perspiration that’s been strategically placed. I’ll take one of those flat breads if there’s any left.
Dru always was one for demonstrations, rather than wordy explanations. Pib looks like she’s taking quite a shock … with Dru’s new power level, things don’t just go “ZONGK!” anymore; they probably pinch more than ever:
My suspicion is that Dru is becoming much more in touch with her inner demon right now. She’s been somewhat in denial of her nature, doing all sorts of good things & feeling emotions of love & rescuing & caring about folks for some time now. What was she like for the 824-something years prior to this current story?
In any event, Dru just died for Pib, and she just cleaned out a section of he|| (although, possibly for her own personal benefit). No matter today’s strip, she’s not entirely on the Dark Side (yet); but it certainly appears she’s somewhat conflicted. Equally, what about Dru’s love for Geoff ..? Is that waning, or becoming more intense ..? Maybe she’s feeling the denial of that relationship more intensely just now.
However, I’ll take a stab at it and predict that she’s giving Pib a demonstration of power & control, perhaps even transferring something to Pib. Maybe Pib gets new power of somesort now? Possibly a sign and move of trust, perhaps to put Pib in a position of truly best friend … someone who can question and pull Dru back if/when Dru is controlled by her power in the future ..?
I think I will finally take a seat on the Confusion Couch today.

Be sure to try the intensely hot horseradish and krievu mustard as condiments; I recommend mixing the mustard with a bit of raw, summer honey from the countryside, especially with the cured ham. There are more than a dozen cold bottles of strong, 6% beer. It will help a lot with that mustard. It’s hotter than wasabi.

Well, I’m not THAT new, but can I bring a gallon of fresh-brewed Kona coffee? And maybe some home-made sticky buns? Still warm?

“How do you solve a problem like Drusilla?

But bravo to Pib for speaking truth to power with her question. Unfortunately its the verbal equivalent of poking a tiger with a stick. I’d say she got her answer. Talk about a ‘dangerous beauty!’

A fantastic saga of adventure both high and low, of forbidden passion and iambic pentameter, of fays, fools, organists, demons, accordions, heaven, hell and Shakespeare, Pibgorn follows the whims and flights of its eponymous fairy heroine as she plies her conviction that there must be more to life than depositing dew drops on dandelions and sleeping under mushrooms.
