I think fairportfan’s explanation (currently 4th after the boilerplate) nails what’s happening “up there” with Luciano. @Fairportfan: Thank you and no thank you! I assumed Inky was messing himself from fright, but your explanation is more logical… and disgusting. Blaugh! Yarg!
If that’s indeed what’s going on, being sopped up by a fly is a fitting end… but in the back of my head, I wonder if that’s the last we’ll see of Spitcock… after all, we still don’t have the full backstory on him yet. We got a lot more history in the case of Orlando Pick.
We all remember the movie, don’t we–the more graphic 1986 version with Jeff Goldblum as The Fly? What he/it does is what just happened to the late, unlamented Inky….
I appreciate the offers to share the expense of a video interview with Brooke, we should wait until after the fact. I’ll record and edit as best I can, then offer it on CD or DVD. Any donations are voluntary and not tax deductible.

Thanks for your post on Bloom County yesterday regarding your experience with Canada’s heath care system. It needs to be seen by the rest of this country.

There are no gov’t go-betweens or overseers sticking there nose in the process as some propagandists would have you believe. They treat you whether you’re rich or poor.
Working with my ex’s clinic for 5 years gave me a close-up look at how horrific “orthodox” medicine can be in our country… but how do you feel about the costs of what you receive, both obvious and hidden?

What about Dru … and Pib? And when does Tom get his? Will he be drippier than the above mentioned drippy one? all these questions and more have to wait for MONDAY down here in the big land next to the land of the long white cloud :P
The whole universal health care issue is a touchy issue in the U.S. for a lot of reasons, My friend in Fla. had treatment for cervical cancer last year and will be in debt for years still to pay it off, is that really fair? It’s not her fault she got cancer. To me the issue comes down to two things 1) our responsibility as human beings, for the health and well-being of others 2) The Hippocratic Oath doctors take which states that they are honor bound to treat the sick, no matter who. To me, that means health care should be universal. (don’t get me started on world government now!)
LOL!! That’s fantastic! Are these the same 2guys from the very beginning of this comic? The nature watchers who would randomly comment on Pib and Dru flying by??
A fantastic saga of adventure both high and low, of forbidden passion and iambic pentameter, of fays, fools, organists, demons, accordions, heaven, hell and Shakespeare, Pibgorn follows the whims and flights of its eponymous fairy heroine as she plies her conviction that there must be more to life than depositing dew drops on dandelions and sleeping under mushrooms.

One question we all would be interested having answered is: What is the value/benefit
of our favoriting of the strip?
Another would be: What are the chances of 9CWL moving or mirroring to goComics?
I suspect not much as United Media has all the newspaper contracts.
And: Are there any sources for 9CWL images predating November 2000?
