Let me take this chance to the people who answered the questions I left up in the air every other day before dissapearing into the real world / lurk mode.

Now, getting back to the story, this seems to be a test of evil-ness. How bad can you be? Or taking “No good deed goes unpunished” to the most literal interpretation possible. Not sure what gameshow this is based on, perhaps the part in Survivor-type reality shows where they voted an idio… I mean, a contestant off the island.

And who is the sponsor now? It can’t be “Glutemiser” again, can it? Firstly, Brooke McEldowney is not one to repeat jokes. Secondly, super-exaggerated model Marzipan is one of the judges! Wouldn’t it look awfully suspicious if she was also the sponsor? Of course, real TV shows do that kind of thing all the time (think of the old Soaps) so we’ll have to wait and see what Brooke has got in store… Did I just refer to Brooke by his first name only?

Chickweed: I also have to agree with Fearciul:

I’m reminded of that old game show mantra, “Points win prizes”. Sure Dru is getting the burn but she’s used to lounging on lava, so its probably no more than a mere frisson for the lass.

However, Inky is racking up those all important points; his fatal flaw may turn out to be an inability to be “wrong”.

Of course, Tom will be the ultimate loser when Dru gets her hands on him….

- You may have noticed that Dru and Spitty are in human form and color. Dru may not be able to tap into the mojo from the lamp. The flames may not harm them, but I’m sure they can feel them as if they were one of the DAM NED themselves.

- Hmmm… Dru ought to know how these games are played. I think she will figure this out soon and turn the tables on her opponent.
- I do not think Luc is going to show up for this game show. Still curious as to where he is and what size. Will presume he was to show us that the powers of a demon can be manipulated and harnessed by any magical “creature”.

“Temporizing” may be a sly wee etymological tug o’ the forelock to the New Year. Dru should know by now that Tom’s games are always unfair–it may not matter how she answers anyway, though. The crux may be whether her chains are unbreakable this time.

CwL: I suppose Elliot may have been on call–he is a thoracic surgeon [?] or summat, as well as being a teacher. But some of Juliette’s presence with Seth and Mark could be to emphasize how much Edda has found a substitute family to heal some of the problems caused by her father’s betrayal. Seth acts as a father/sibling/son, in turns, to E. If Edda marries Amos it may be a hard choice whether Seth or Jack will be the one to give her away.

Here’s my suggestion: the new strip “Drusilla,” with the characters and plot of this arc will be a “spin-off” from Pibgorn. After all, remember that Dru is a demon, and her pleasures always involve a hellish denoument!

I don’t know about you, but often when set in a ‘damned if you do and damned if you don’t’ situation, I come down on the side of being damned for doing something. I think that’s how Dru works. Its only a matter of time before she responds in some way commensurate with TT’s damning taunting.

Although Dru often disdains the cerebral approach to problem solving, she may be making an exception currently. As matters stand, her judges should believe she knows that winning means lying. So…she can now freely confess to the mortal virtue of LOVE…… for those she loves. The jury should interpret this as heart-felt denial of the major charge.

Is this the plan….. really?

I knew I was missing something. Those aren’t regulation hangman nooses, they don’t have 13 knots.

Funny thing in Texas law, you can have a display noose so long as it doesn’t have 13 knots.
.
However, any rope knotted to be used to incite riots, terror, intimidation or any other threatening manner can still get you thrown in the Hoosegow.
