On tonight’s noose:
Spitcock is an accordion loving, vampiric Incubusy!
Dru is a lava leaping, bleeding heart, liberal arts major Succubusy!
Flesh of tone and ready to party!
Of course Dru doesn’t look worried - this is her third (or fourth, depending on how you interpret the earliest) encounter with Tommy-boy, and he’s definitely come off holding the dirty end of the stick each time before.
Cyd Charisse passed away recently. Fred Astaire paid tribute to Charisse, calling her “beautiful dynamite” and writing: “That Cyd! When you’ve danced with her you stay danced with.”
Wow. Dru in any pose is alluring. Oh yeah, Spitcock is standing there too.
SirMirom says:
I’m getting more ballet dancer than Brando off of Spitty, myself. Love the shoes!
Yeah, kind of both – Brando and ballet. Sort of like Seth – Arnold Schwarzenegger in ballet garb.
Come to think of it, at one point Arnold did take ballet lessons in preparation for his Mr. Olympia posing routines. A possible humorous take off on Brooke’s part, in creating the Seth character?
Now here’s a good question – can a narcissistic and power mad megalomaniac figure out his fatal flaw? Did Tom slant this game in Dru’s favor because he doesn’t want to get his teeth knocked out again?
Any competent hangman will tell you that the knot has to be behind the left ear for the hanging to be successful - else the effect will be a slow strangling…
‘Morning all.
CCDESAN, Dru does indeed seem less distressed than her earlier appearances on TT’s stage; but am I reading this wrong, or did Dru not actually bring about their appearance there by her strafing run upon the fleeing Spitcock?
Nice look on the latter by the way, he’s gone through some interesting characterizations in this arc.
Enjoy the day, folks!

Spitcock’s hosed unless Dru decides she simply has to kill him herself and thus saves him from Torquemada. Does any woman in her right mind wear a skirt that short? I’m mean, c’mon, if she does anything but stand in place in a windless plane, she’s advertising beach front property in Florida. California too, if you’re one of those sort. Personally, I’m not. Of course, this is a succubus we’re starring at, so why wouldn’t she advertise equal-opportunity.
I just favorited, just wish I could favorite more than once a day!*

happy morning
gg
So what if Dru brought Spinky to the game? She’s not precisely what one would call a “cooperative employee”, what with being AWOL and in league with a fairy and a mortal, and her erstwhile boss isn’t known for playing fair. I figure she decided this is a gamble she can deal with… and maybe she knows she’s still got enough “mojo” to get out of it if things go badly. Who knows?
“Any competent hangman will tell you that the knot has to be behind the left ear for the hanging to be successful - else the effect will be a slow strangling…””
Mel(ody) says:*
“It’s He-double-hockeysticks, I imagine a slow strangling trumps a quick mercifull “death” any day.”
and “That’s the thing about being a demon, one’s performance evaluation is a bit daunting. And where would one be sent upon being down-sized?”
Drats! Mel beat me to the response about a slow strangulation being desired. But, as for being down-sized, why not just send them back to the burning pit of flames, or freeze them back into the ice, or whatever?
.Damn it ! Everyone’s focusing on the “headlights” But the halo on Dru, especially her hair, just glows. The Dagmars reference almost had me in hysterics. I mean who has pointy boobs that stand straight out ? The guy, and I know it was, who came up with that musta laughed so hard that tears were coming out and his belly hurt. Been there, done that !
Looks as if someone has been rummaging about in Juliette’s closet for that dress on Dru–the Dragon Lady section J. keeps for when she wishes to prime Elliot’s pump.
There are several CwL strips with similar dresses, but C.Com is being glacial for me today, so can’t find them. In one, Edda is trying on a party dress & J. remarks that her “only modest option is to stand bolt upright on a windless day,” but she wants to try it on as well, of course.
Sisyphos: Edda’s slit dress mirrors Dru’s as you noticed. Interesting that Brooke revealed it today–think he’s ramping up the tension in the musical duel, just more slowly this time.
Dru could be plotting with the way she’s looking up–Spitcock looks like this is not what it’s been cracked up to be, more than a little apprehensive. I suppose if you are nearly immortal it must be possible to suffer a long time and in many ways-perhaps he’s so far been able to play and not pay? Very interesting!
Now if Spinky were to behave like most guys in this sort of situation, he’d turn to Dru and say something like this:
“Awww c’mon Baby…I only imprisoned you, stole your mojo, and tried to kill you once! C’mon, it’s not like I do this every DAY! At least give me a look over here, please…okay?”
Interesting.•I do like the hot pink • My favorite is the vampirism w/ accordion. Has that actually been incorporated into this story line, or is it just today?
A fantastic saga of adventure both high and low, of forbidden passion and iambic pentameter, of fays, fools, organists, demons, accordions, heaven, hell and Shakespeare, Pibgorn follows the whims and flights of its eponymous fairy heroine as she plies her conviction that there must be more to life than depositing dew drops on dandelions and sleeping under mushrooms.
