LOL! Pib re-appears for a great Christmas strip! Hooray for Brooke Mc Eldowney! On a side note, does this mean the change in Dru’s dappling is permanent? On the other hand, last Christmas had Dru with the bat wings, and those appear to be gone for good.

Anyone got the date for the last time Dru told Pib “There’s no pleasing you, is there?” I believe it was when Pib said something like “I don’t like being burried alive, but since you’re the one on the rudder”

Dapplewise, this may be the 4th (or 5th) iteration of of Dru’s darkening of coloration.
Last year’s bat wings were a result or the Pib/Dru meld. Since they were separated by
Spinky a few months ago Dru has been without the artifact of Pib’s wings.

I’d like to recommend saome animated pieces that i recently (after like thirty years - literally) tracked down on YouTube

First, Sheila Graber’s Moving on. When i found this recently, i posted a comment asking for another of her pieces from the mid-70s to be posted, which has led to some correspondence, and a promise to find it and post it. There are a lot of her animations on YouTube - including a series of ten of Kipling’s Just So Stories… I love her minimalist technique here.

And the 1976 Oscar short subject winner: GREAT! by Bob Godfrey; a biography of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, arguably one of the two or three greatest engineers who ever lived. (In three parts - this is Part 1): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rqbp2tH7YrQ

As the host of the 1978 PBS series Academy Leaders, where i first saw it, said “The facts of Brunel’s life and career are straight. Virtually nothing else is.”
