Good night all. Am leaving a coffee and cream cheesecake (with kahlua) on the table next to the couch. Maybe if we offered some to Dru she would leave Roger intact…..nah! Probably not.
Somebody save him! Fight it, Dru! Fight the demon, Demon! Who will save Roger? A giant danger is in this house, who could possibly fly in and stop this?
Too subtle?
Last batch of palmieres just came out of the oven and is heading toward the end table. Don’t you guys in the pool splash all over it-there’s nothing worse than soggy puff pastry….well, maybe Roger could think of something snerk . But I’m just going to pour a small glass of wine & then head for bed.
“Lunch is on me”.
To those who had to clean up my mess yesterday (smeared jello, scorched couch), sorry about that, I was delayed getting back, so thank you. A snifter of Brandy for everyone.
You know, I think this might could be a good time for Pib or Luciano to show up. My first thought was Lena and/or Satori, but there is probably too much Spinky in Dru right now for that to be efficacious.
Almost forgot! I put in an order for the two Pibogrn books(Girl in the Coffee Cup and Midsummer Night’s dream). They were sitting at my front door when I got home tonight! I ordered them Saturday and paid with PayPal. Thank-you PIB PRESS!
Egad! I was dozing at the witching hour! Maybe
Vampirilla will come to her senses in time to drop Roger and proceed to her true adversary. Besides, I don’t think hot cocoa would be quite the appropriate beverage just here.
9CWL: I barely remember the Bowery Boys from tv reruns in my early youth; how did Amos come up with that reference so fast, and does he expect Edda to get it?! (EDIT: Maybe its been a dvd “thing” in their little circle?)
The collective best guess from those who know of what they speak is that gocomics uses multiple servers, which are not time-synchronized. So, depending through which server your comment was routed, the time stamp may vary by as much as five minutes, resulting in disordered comments.
Re: NW side Chicago & plastic seatcovers: I still have them in my condo, a legacy from Mom, however, who was mostly Polish (while Dad was Italian). We lived on the NW side or in contiguous suburbs most of the time. I still do.
And here’s to you, demon Drusilla,
your Mojo’s rising fast as it can go…
whoa whoa whoa
What’s that you say, demon Drusilla,
the fangs are out…and he can’t get away…
hey hey hey…hey hey hey
The more I look at Dru [and I do that a lot], the more I suspect she not being aggressive here, strictly speaking; for one, her claws are not out; and, secondly, her grip on Roger seems almost gentle (like a moma tiger with her cub). So maybe she does need, and knows it, just a little drop of his innocent blood as an antidote to her Inky infection.

Roger, of course, not being privy to her thoughts, is ready to begin a new career as a superhero known as Golden Shower…
I bid you all a fond so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good night.
I leave a nice pan of fudge and cold eggnog (bourbon anyone?) by the couch. Watch out, the cat is climbing the Pib Tree.
Hey…when did we get a pool?!

Techs tend to look for ways to make things work; engineers tend to try to figure out why they aren’t working as they should.
(It’s a situation not unlike senior enlisted personnel and officers up to about the rank of Lieutenant {Navy} or Captain {Army}…)
A fantastic saga of adventure both high and low, of forbidden passion and iambic pentameter, of fays, fools, organists, demons, accordions, heaven, hell and Shakespeare, Pibgorn follows the whims and flights of its eponymous fairy heroine as she plies her conviction that there must be more to life than depositing dew drops on dandelions and sleeping under mushrooms.

Drucilla, the red dappled succubus
had a way too much mojo.
And if you ever saw her,
you would even say it glows.
All of the other demons
used to laugh and call her names.
They tried to suck Dru’s energy
in a weird Suzerain game.
Then one fateful encounter with Ink
Roger came to say:
“Drucilla with your mojo plight,
won’t you aide in destroying Inky tonight?”
Then all beings felt grim
as they shouted out “OH GEE,”
Drucilla the red dappled succubus,
you need a Pib kissory!

Not hardly - Hitler and his crew wanted nothing to do with anything that would bring the US into the war as an active belligerent.
Bombing Pearl Harbor was strictly part of a Pacific Rim power grab on the part of the Japanese.
Germany declared war on the US because they were bound by treaty to support Japan when the US declared war on it.
