I think we’re looking at a Dru/Inky fusion here. Inky might have been able to assimilate Dru’s power, but can Dru handle his as well as her own back all at once?!!

Is Dru burning up or is she changing colors? Is taking up a lot of Inky’s mojo going to affect how she looks AND acts?

In the 2nd panel, it looks as if she has generated a lot of light, and Roger looks floored.

It took me a good minute of hard looking to figure out this picture. Instead of Dru’s cheekbone and eye, all I could see was this little deformed arm and claw extending from her shoulder. Finally it popped in and made sense. This is an amazing image. And Roger looks like he’s waiting for the atomic explosion…

Hubby and I have been making cheesecakes today (I make the crusts, he makes the rest of it) and will leave a pina colada cheesecake on the table by the couch.

CO is not the only place it is
below zero.
It was +40F this morning is now -10F on my thermometer. With windchill advisories till noon.
Blizzards just north of here.
Good night to be on the couch speculating. Now we need a fireplace sending out a warm glow.

ccdesan, Gweedo, IMHO with the help of the sketch, what we see are the arc of the right side of Dru’s neck and her right staghorn ear, plus loads of raven hair tossed down over her face in front and the right side of her neck in back.

Now I’m curious: was Inky maybe a specific type of succubus? Maybe he’s contagious? Maybe too much power stored that way is toxic for a demon somehow?

That claw that looks like it’s coming out of her thigh/waist is actually the side of her neck and her ear….I took a look at the sketch…much easier to make out.

Big difference between the sketch and finished drawing - I’d say Dru is just winding up to deliver the coup de grace** to Inky.

Those of us out here in the fortunate northwest finally joined the rest of y’all under a blanket of white, and in certain portions of Starbase Portland, the killer Columbia gorge wind has been hammering us with 40+ mph gusts. Had to go do my Xmas shopping today. I like it a little nippy, but JEEZ LAWEEZ! I’m pretty sure I saw a woolly mammoth saunter by while I was waiting for a bus…

Based on the sketch, it doesn’t look like Dru has changed in appearance, but just that she’s whipped her head back in a rush of energy, and her face is obscured in a cloud of hair.

I think this is our same old Dru, just TurboCharged.

Now I am really wondering who Spitcock/Inky really is. Could this be the final stage of a Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby trick, and was Dru able to read Inky’s mind during their tryst and prepare for a possible trap? Even the best of heroes can get cocky the moment they are ready to don the White Mantle of Victory. The blackness of her body suggests that Inky is a higher order of demon, sent to draft Dru back into the services of Hell.

Or maybe Inky will be to Dru what Venom was to Spiderman.

When i was in Navy Boot Camp (11/67 to 3/68) at Great Lakes IL - fifty miles north of Chicago, on the lake, we had one day that went from minus-something F in the morning to +40-something F by noon and back down below zero before sunset.

Not the way Brooke works - look at Spinky in recent appearances. In some ways that’s harder than inking/colouring a character with colours.

You can have some of our North Georgia winter if you like - low forties F, humid, just enough wind to be nasty, and intermittent rain/drizzle. (Except that we’ll keep the rain - we’re in the middle of a multi-year drought, as you may have heard.) The worst short of blizzards that winter south of Ohio can do, with none of the compensating beautiful snowscapes. Except when we have blizzards - like March (yes, March) of 1992, when it changed from nasty cold rain with temps at or above freezing sometime after midnight (when i went to bed) and dropped more than a foot of White Stuff on the Atlanta area before noon (when i woke up…)

A frosty good morning all. Thank you west coast for the 3 days of storms we have coming…We actually might have some snow here in Burque!
I can’t wait to see what Dru looks like tomorrow. I don’t think she’s having trouble handling the mojo…it looks to me like she’s REALLY enjoying it.
