Love Roger’s comments, he’d rather have his head crushed like a ripe egg plant then have to listen to Inky’s rant.

Dru is lookin’ buff!
Pokefan_Frank said, 12 months ago
I guess now we know what the game is about: “vanquish good, crush self-will and enslave huamnkind…” So he was going to plug all gamers into a game character, like he did with Lena and they’d be caught in an infinite loop? Quite a flawed plan. I doubt the people who can stop him are the same type that would play Suzerain for its plot.
Ooh, Dru be shiny… and this time it’s not sweat, or is it? Also, Dru seems to be taking a page out of Pib’s book: when all else fails, use fists
Gweedo Murray says:
“I wonder if Black Friday is about deep cuts or has the phrase become just another advertising gimmick?”
definitely an advertising gimick. “Black Friday” used to be reserved for historical events that ruined economies, and coincidentially also happened on Fridays. The most famous Black Friday, according to Wikipedia, was in 1869, over speculation on the price of gold in US dollars.

Here comes the famous Pibgorn right cross! You go, Drusilla!
Amos and Edda can really play like they’re making love, now. They’ve got the competition in the bag, thinks I! :^D

Anent Black Friday: it’s now being used to signify “the day retailers make it into the black [or not],” i.e., make a profit as vs. in the red=a loss.

Roger’s response reminds me of Drusilla’s when she was a contenstant on Armageddon:

Pokefan_Frank, I’m not sure he was going to plug people into the game. I got that he was going to do all of that evil stuff outside the game, once he had absorbed Drusilla’s Mojo and become - to his way of thinking - invincible. Anyway, that’s the impression I got…

Mr. McE has done it again! This strip makes a pretty good cliff hanger.
I still think Dru will pound hurt bumps all over him…and take her mojo back and shrink him down to nothin’.
9CWL is a satisfying strip to read tonight…as it appears to be for A&E performing.
Good night! Hope all the denizens of the confusion couch had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Looking forward to leftovers!
Yum!

Mr McEldowney once again does the same thing to me that I do to others on a daily basis: use words that no average human being knows, causing them to either scowl because they have been proven linguistically simple-minded, or smile and nod their head until they can discreetly grab a dictionary to cure their ignorance. I do the latter when encountering unfamiliar verbeage, but the people I usually interact with commonly react in the former fashion, so they all thinks I’m annoying. Maybe I need new friends?
Adrienne Gormley said, 12 months ago
Bender:
I’ve had many friends tell me that just from knowing me and talking to me, they’ve increased their vocabulary lots.
OTOH, since I do write, words are my tools, so I had better know them :)

SirMirom says: “Spinky, Spinky, Spinky… falling prey to one of the classic blunders. The first is never get involved in a land war in Asia but only slightly less well known is never start monologuing when Dru is on the way!”

Brooke sometimes slips in a pun, esp. if he can be very sly with it. Roger has an oval-shaped head doesn’t he?
Pokefan_Frank said, 12 months ago
Popysmatus, Roger’s last name literally is “Egg”. I personaly prefer to call them Brinjals, it makes translation into romance languages way easier.

Anybody: aparently Pib got her looks from Dr. Burber http://www.chron.com/apps/comics/showComic.mpl?date=2003%2F12%2F1&name=9_Chickweed_Lane

Pokefan_Frank: Brooke mentions [in interviews] his very first strip proposal, Luda, a medieval lutenist and itinerant female musician who had magical powers. Edda and Pib are both derived from her; Edda appears as a fairy with Pib’s body camo at least once after the Nov. 98 Chickweeds. I think Pib’s head is more oval than either Edda’s or Juliette’s though.
Pib seems to have a lot of Edda’s black belt abilities, not just the right cross. She gives Satori at least one good kick before the tree impales them.

And I KNEW it. I KNEW that WOW and MMORPG’s were the spawn of Satan. ;)

Remember Pibgorn’s advice when she and Drucilla were merged?
“Skip the plasma and deck the B…!”
I don’t think Spitinky and Dru ever used plasma on each other.
With Spitinky doing his monologue, Dru could easily have gone to the lamp to restore her “Mojo”.

OK, it really was an incubus disguising himself as Spitcock, greedily hoarding power to speed up the rush of Armaggeddon…
Jeez, now that we know, it seems just a tad anticlimactic, cuz there are many unanswered questions regarding the Suzerain world.
Oh well, enjoy digestion day/black Friday, all! Looking forward to seeing Dru send the Incubus flying, but what then? How does Dru get her mojo back? Does Geoff need to strap on the accordion again??
