(do you ever get annoyed by people who watch a TV or movie, then start talking to the characters, telling them what to do, warning them of impending doom, “Look out! The villain’s hiding behind that tree!”, and stuff like that, knowing full well that the characters on the screen can not possibly hear what they’re saying?

desertdwlr - Colorado’s ski season is taking its sweet time this year; it’s been too warm this week to keep snow on the ground. Even at altitude. The news showed a shot of one of the ski resorts tonight. Not a lot of white on those runs yet!

I’m on my son-in-law’s computer. I drove Helen to her appointment this morning. She said they took ten vials of blood for testing. (I have a major needle phobis - i’d likely be hysterical by the time they finished that with me…)

They said that the most likely cause of her low platelets was a vitamin deficiency, and that if so, a supplement ought to do the trick.

The other main possibility they mentioned was a mild auto-immune problem, and, if that turned out to be the case, they really didn’t think it would be any problem.

Almost-three Maggie was happy to see Kate and myself; almost-one Natalie took one look at me and started bawling and hid behind her mommy…

Anyone think there is significance in the perceived time of day in the first three panels? Roger seemed to arrive in late sunset’s gloaming, continue to call for Lena in the dark of night, and then sit and wait in long-shadowed dawn. Implied time passage? Temporal oddity of the game world? I suspect Lena will tumble in between the knight and Roger at the last moment, and together they’ll elude or defeat him. But that visor STILL might lift and reveal… Roger the elder!

Gweedo Murray, fearciuil, Frida Bonita - thanks for the b’day wishes - it was A Very Good Year, and I have no doubt next year will be even better! Too late to bring birthday cake to the Neverending Couch? Fairportfan, you get a frosting rose for your great news!
