Glad this is now 5 days. Where is Dru’s child? Is her current ravisher the father?

I love this comic. I only just started following it a year or so ago and would love to read all of it or at least some more of the earlier stuff. I have “The girl in the coffee cup book” It is great. But I wish there were more books.

    aerwalt –

Dru’s child was spawned from her blood and that of a mortal’s (Shakespeare? never really mentioned) by a demon who wanted revenge.

Part of his nefarious plot was to nurture the child to the point where he could have them introduced, Dru could start to have matronly feelings, and then he’d kill her.

Now, a demon can not be killed, but the daughter was half-human. Indeed, the demon went to great lengths to make sure she actually lived long enough for his plot to reach fruition, including bringing her back to life even after successful suicide attempts.

You MIGHT be able to go to comics.com (Brooke’s previous publisher) and give them about $5 or so to read all the archives. They don’t carry Pibgorn anymore, but since they used to, they might still have the archives.

Or, maybe their current publisher has the archives. Contact them and ask.

Hit the “From Beginning” link just above the “Show Calendar” link; it’ll take you to the first strip where Mr. M started coloring it on a regular basis. Also, if you have a torrent-reader, you can Google “Pibgorn” AND “torrent”, and download from someone the whole lot from first B&W strips.

Incidentally, I’m waiting for Mr. M to move “9CL” to gocomics as well; the site it’s on now only goes back to the late, late ’90s, has only the dailies, and quite often look they were badly scanned off an actual newspaper.

Yes indeed. I too would like to be able to read 9 Chickweed Lane from the beginning. It’d be great to find paperback collections of it actually.
