And remember, you should always use one before casually looking through a book; loof before you leaf.

With a bat? No, go with a piano dropped from a rope on a pulley from the ceiling.

You’re going too far when you include the always thoughtful and intellectual Goat as the mouthpiece for your puns, Mr. Pastis! He’s the one who is supposed to close his eyes in exasperation when the OTHER characters are guilty of performing your gags…

It’s only a quick stop at Big 5 and a 90 min drive. First go will be a wiffle ball bat, then if it continues we can work our way up.

I’m not sure any of the other characters would have been comfortable using a word like “aloof”.

A talking loofah? This is a first. Then again, Pastis did have talking objects in the strip in the past. But some of those objects had hands and legs. And some had eyes and mouths. This is just a magic loofah that can float. It must be a magic loofah. Does it grant wishes?

Unworthy of Cartoon-Boy’s more usual exquisitely crafted puns, this simple wordplay should have been scrubbed.
—Or, we could hit Cartoon-Boy over the head with a bat….

The loofah wasn’t being aloof. He had to go to the loo .. for a while.
