    Read your history again Sherlock. He was elected President unanimously in 1788 and again in 1792 by the Electoral College (although it wasn’t referred to as the Electoral College at that time). Maybe you’re thinking of the fact that in 1775 he was appointed by the Continental Congress to be the general in charge of the colonial army.

    I used to really like PBS. Their history particularly. Then it became activist around 2000 or so. When they extolled the “virtues” of castro, that was it for me.

    I used to really like PBS. Their history particularly. Then it became activist around 2000 or so. When they extolled the “virtues” of castro, and did a revisionist history of prohibition whose only purpose appeared to be to legalize pot, that was it for me.

    Incidentally, George W. was a direct descendant of King Edward III, making George a very distant cousin to King George III.
