    Legally, Rat is probably right. You can receive any transmission or sound that’s open and it’s Bob’s onus to prevent his wi-fi from receiving Rat’s signal.

    Goat is right to note the hypocrisy in Rat’s attitude that what’s yours is mine if I can get it, but you’d better not touch my stuff! Rat would not last long in ruthless real life….

    Where I live they’ve tried to charge people royalties for playing the radio in hairdressing salons and shops, or playing music at weddings. It doesn’t work, of course, but they keep trying

    In Finland they made it legal to use any unprotected WiFi. The number of unprotected WiFi’s dropped pretty soon.
