At its heart, Pearls Before Swine is the comic strip tale of two friends: an arrogant Rat who thinks he knows it all and a slow-witted Pig who doesn't know any better. Together, this pair offers caustic commentary on humanity's quest for the unattainable. Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams says that Pearls is "one of the few comics that make me laugh out loud." The strip has twice won the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben division award for Best Newspaper Comic Strip – in 2003 and in 2006.

Anybody not familiar with cartoon physics would wonder how a rat can step on and sqoosh a dog.

Boy did I get this one wrong . . . didn’t realize that Rat stepped on Foofy. I thought he step in Foofy’s poo. That is one small dog!

Reminds me of a scene in “A Fish Called Wanda”, when Michael Palin had to do-in the old lady, instead he knocked off her dogs one-by-one…

Why do some people always insist on bringing their dogs into places those dogs aren’t supposed to go? Service dogs I see and support them being brought in because their there for a reason. The person bring them in can’t see or can’t hear, or the dogs are being trained to be service dogs. And stores that welcome pets being brought in, typically pet stores, I’m cool with. But most places don’t allow pets and only allow service dogs. And I have yet to see the resturant that allows pets (though I have seen those that allow service dogs which I think is a good thing). There is no way Ms. Lydia’s itty bitty Foofy was a service dog.
