   Uncool. But it reminds of several episodes of ‘That 70s Show’ in which Kelso is persuaded to jump off the water tower, his friends insisting that they will jump with him. But they never do. They never do…

    I’d read somewhere long, long ago that lemmings are migratory, and during their migration they cross many ponds and lakes to get to their intended destination.
    Observed “jumping off a cliff” they weren’t really committing suicide, they were just thinking that it was another pond to cross. Well, they were right, of course, but it was a BIG, BIG pond and they never got to “The Far Side”

    DITTO! I miss the Far Side. I even have the big two book set of all the strips …..
    Don’t read it much – but every now and then it’s good to take down a volume and open a random page.
