At its heart, Pearls Before Swine is the comic strip tale of two friends: an arrogant Rat who thinks he knows it all and a slow-witted Pig who doesn't know any better. Together, this pair offers caustic commentary on humanity's quest for the unattainable. Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams says that Pearls is "one of the few comics that make me laugh out loud." The strip has twice won the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben division award for Best Newspaper Comic Strip – in 2003 and in 2006.

What’s funny is I wrote about that type of thing in my last book. It really isn’t OK to have a problem, want to stew on it, have a shoulder to cry on it and then not actually fix the problem if it’s fixable. Or worse, if it’s something they’ve done, to go do the same stupid thing again, having learned nothing. The Bible calls the latter person a fool.

You know, MythBusters just did an episode about movie sound effects. Turns out when you punch a pig, it’s not really that loud! (And yes, they really did punch a pig…)

I don’t like Pigita. I thought (happily) Pig had dumped her last time around. Now, to no one’s good, she’s back! Arrrgh!

Not if you’re Tim Taylor. They tend to fix you if you know what I mean.

Yes he has, though perhaps not much longer if this strip is based on an incident with his better half.

Well of course it is going to be miserable if you take that attitude about it!

Since I moved to the Midlands 7 years ago, I’ve realised a lot of peopleof are never happier than when they’re moaning. One reason why I’m relocating this year!
