    @The J.A.M.

    He does have a little hair but my brother & I once watched It was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown, which has this scene in it, & he said to my sister “Charlie Brown doesn’t have enough hair to have a bug in it, does he?”

    Occasionally Peppermint Patty calls Charlie Brown Charlie Brown rather than Chuck. I’m surprised no one else has commented on her doing that.

    Can’t believe he even fell for that. He doesn’t have hair and he knows he has no hair. But it’s such an old joke that the teller didn’t revise it.

    Well, he does sort of have hair; after all, he has a bit of a curl on his forehead, doesn’t he? If he is a blond, his hair would be difficult to see…
    Ok, it is just a comic strip!

    And Marcie (who hadn’t become part of the cast at this point) refers to him as Charles. And in one scene from “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” Lucy refers to him simply as Charlie.
