    If he returns in that outfit, he can double up on the candy.

    It is interesting that Snoopy kicks the door with his hind paw, rather than knocking with his fore paw, but he can hold out a fore paw for candy.

    Could that have been Peppermint Patty’s parents’ house? (Sure is a rarity to see adult speech balloons in “Peanuts.”)

    Peppermint Patty wasn’t the ONLY one who got Snoopy’s species wrong.

    Yep, it’s that strange looking little kid…but he didn’t have a bag for the treats…I guess he’s smart, he just eats as he goes…

    Was it originally “tricks or treats”?

    This is the reverse of a Marvin cartoon. Bitsy, the dog in Marvin, appears to be knocking on a door for trick or treats & someone tells him to leave & then says something about the neighbor’s dog being there, but then he’s taken the top of his costume off & it’s really Marvin.

    They might not have been adults. They might have been an older sibling & a younger one, though siblings don’t usually call each other dear.

    @TEMPLO S.U.D.

    Peppermint Patty lives with her father, but has no living mother, so no.

    They did in the early years, and into the sixtes. This may still be before the TV shows started with the trumpet voices. Don’t confuse the strip with the TV specials; they’re really not the same.

    @Jeo Bascon

    Original Patty, or Peppermint Patty? PP lives on the other side of town. Little reason for Snoopy to be hanging around there.
